Stay away, new operator but no old glory. No official booking confirmation with date, number of rooms and total price, but about 100 days in advance threat of bill payment if we don't arrive. not a good reputation!

Unfortunately new operator and no longer recommended!No heating in mid-October, but an energy flat rate is still charged. Parking fees for motorcycles in a completely empty hotel parking lot.It's a shame about the beautiful hotel.

Catastrophe.Except for sleeping, it's really bad.The on-site employee simply goes into the rooms where there were only children in the evening at 9 p.m. and gets toilet paper and takes it to another room with only children, even though no one has reported a shortage. I'd rather close it.Hygiene examples: Disposable plastic cups (known from coffee machines) were constantly collected, rinsed and reused. Plates poorly washed. If children wanted tea glasses, they were severely reprimanded by the on-site staff. On the 23rd and 24th there was some moldy sausage. On the 23rd evening there was rotten liver sausage. There was no statement from the MA. Salad was delivered at lunchtime and offered again in the evening and early the next morning. Boiled eggs were offered again 24 h later. Rolls were baked twice and offered again.! On the 22nd, a child made a cereal made from Poppies and chocolate, didn't add any liquid and didn't eat it. This mixture was found in the Poppies glass the next morning.There were sometimes indefinable “sour cucumbers” (a child threw up the evening after tasting them. But the reason is speculation. I tasted the cucumber myself and couldn’t swallow it.Milk was sour on the 24th!Dog runs around the whole house including the dining room. Refrigerators in the rooms are moldy at the back. Black stuff came out of the shower hose from some showers, which were probably not used very often. The water was maybe 20 degrees.! The heating won't be on until October 15th. switched on, no matter what the temperature is outside. A disgrace for the children!

Change of ownership in 2022Since then we can no longer recommend the hotel.Details are aptly described in other reviews.Prices are not justified, unfriendly, especially to youth groups and really very inflexible...The heating is not turned on despite the cold in September. No way to dry things.Food is a special chapter.The operator really talked a lot about the lawyer.Therefore it also has consequencesfor us: we don't come here anymore.My request to the owner: replace the operator and quickly.The hotel has potential, it used to work tooStill very nice area.

I liked the room because it faced the back and was bright. There was access to the balcony via the hallway. Unfortunately I had to clean the toilet under the toilet seat.There was only one person taking care of the reception, restaurant and breakfast. It took correspondingly longer because a large group of motorcycles had to be served.The hotel location was nice and quiet.

Unfortunately I can confirm the recent negative reviews.Starting with the parking fee for the motorcycles and the completely overpriced food, which with a lot of good will would have been worth half as much. At least not €22.50 for three Thuringian bratwursts with a few fried potatoes, a can of soup and a discount yogurt. But there was a certain consistency. At breakfast the milk had expired twice and was sour. At least the good man was trying, but still overwhelmed. So overwhelmed that there were drinks on the bill that I hadn't consumed. He didn't get involved in discussions.Overall, a bland aftertaste remains in what is actually a nice hotel. You can notice the shortage of skilled workers everywhere.

I have to advise against this hotel. It's a really beautiful location and ideal as a starting point for hikes. Unfortunately, the owner and only employee is completely overwhelmed and tries to get the most out of the few guests. For two nights 3 days parking fee in a publicly accessible, uncovered space, for a careless breakfast 12 €, for warmed convenience food instead of the stated 20 € suddenly 26 €: everything has become more expensive. My fellow travelers wanted to take soup with them on the hike and had pre-ordered it. I was then shouted at why I didn't want soup; he had now bought the cans especially for us. However, the heating worked again: there are radiant heaters and fan heaters throughout the house. I've never experienced anything like that before. Conclusion: a shame about the beautiful hotel. I'm definitely not coming anymore. However, I really enjoy going to the area: the surroundings are great.

A stay to forget! All the reviews of the hotel must come from the time of the previous owner; there was a change of hotel operator in 2022.The hotel is very old, feel-good factor = 0. The food in the hotel doesn't even deserve one star. At dinner we were served a pork schnitzel, which was of poor quality and, above all, raw inside. In addition, the hotel operator is very unfriendly and unpleasant. When he left, he threatened to take legal action against negative reviews containing “untruths”. Despite possible consequences, I want to "warn" potential future guests about this accommodation with my truthful experiences.All in all, the stay was more than disappointing. We're definitely not coming back.

Unfortunately you can't give zero stars. Attention, there has been a change of ownership! The hotel definitely doesn't deserve 3 stars anymore. The new owner...you couldn't be more unfriendly. The heating doesn't work and when we asked about it we were shouted at very loudly. Breakfast is a disaster. Maybe the new owner should first learn what hospitality and gastronomy means before he can run a hotel. Absolutely not recommended!!

This house is not recommended in any way. The host, who highlighted himself as a lawyer at the end of our stay and threatened to take action against us if we had bad reviews, was trying hard at times, but was mostly overwhelmed in all situations. This started when we checked in. He initially gave us two double rooms even though a triple room was reserved. But that could be sorted out quickly. At dinner we were the only guests for a long time and still had to wait 30 minutes for drinks because the host/owner has no service staff and was constantly jumping back and forth between the reception and the dining room. The food he praised highly after a long wait was really a disaster (my son-in-law explained this in detail in his review). The breakfast buffet was similarly bad: eggs were cold and soft, or cold and hard (as they weren't covered), sausage, cheese and rolls of poor quality. Unfortunately, we had to return some sausage and cheese on the first morning and the host rudely reprimanded my daughter for it. There was also a lack of service staff here, as the previous guests' dishes were still on the tables and there were no free, clean tables. Other guests sometimes cleared things themselves to get a seat. The innkeeper was alone the whole time and therefore overwhelmed. When talking to other guests, it turned out that many were also very dissatisfied. What bothered us most was that there was no apology from the owner. He had a suitable explanation for everything (including the fact that the room wasn't made!), but no insight or gestures of reparation. This stay certainly doesn't deserve more than one star. To end on a positive note: a high chair for my grandson was provided and was comfortable.

The short version, we left the hotel as a group of 15 after just one night stay (3 were planned).There is a wide gap between desire and reality here.You won't find Thuringian hospitality here, comfortable rooms are, well, a bit old.Cozy atmosphere, yes in the guest room which is obviously only set for representational purposes. The one to be used has the charm and character of a train station hall.The room rate was increased without prior information.You let the customers arrive first and then they stay.This would all be OK if the service and hospitality were there.But the recent change of operator hasn't been good for the hotel.Apart from the two operators who are in prime retirement age, there is only one cook.Room service must be avoided.The tone and treatment of the guests of one operator defies description, insulting and accusing the customers of lying is still expressed discreetly.Verbal agreements will not be kept.No, you don't have to go through something like that.

The new owner is a disaster! After repeatedly insulting members of our tour group. We left after one night. The reasons, apart from the insults, were: There are no staff. The owner simply increased the prices even though we had already booked at the beginning of the year. Some guests only received their food after waiting for hours. The rooms are ok, the food was good. We learned that the chef is apparently quitting next week too. It's a shame because the location and the hotel are nice.
