It's sad to see a hotel in this location deteriorate like this. The entire immediate area is run down and abandoned. The last time I was there was 4 years ago and now I'm horrified. It's sad, honestly.

It's just sad that Konzen Upstalsboom sees no possibility of reopening the house in a timely manner. The most beautiful and best located hotel far and wide. After it has generated considerable income for the company over many years, it is simply completed and sent to sleep.We have many fond memories of this building and it hurts our souls to see how the building is falling into disrepair every time we visit Schillig.If an investor isn't found soon, the wrecking ball will definitely be used.

This is my favorite hotel. Why? Sufficient parking spaces directly at the hotel. The location is very close to the sea, you can see the beach directly from the room (balcony!). Or rather, on the lawn in front of the water, the beach chairs, etc. It's only a few minutes walk to the sea. There are very nice bike paths. You can eat well in the hotel, including on the hotel terrace. The staff is friendly. Next to the hotel there is a good bakery, a pizzeria, a small supermarket, a bicycle rental service, etc. You can also walk or cycle to the neighboring town of Horumersiel. It's worth it because there's so much more on offer.So basically everything I want. Unfortunately the hotel has been closed for renovations for some time. As soon as rooms are available again, I will definitely go back

I would like to give 0 stars, I canceled almost 2 months before arrival and still was charged 80%. Anyone who books here loses their money.Not recommendable

We discovered this hotel by chance on the Internet over 10 years ago and were thrilled with the rooms (sea side) right from the start. The view from the room, whether on the 2nd floor or 6th, is simply great, we were happy to come by on a short trip in December or February. Above the sauna area, then a massage, great breakfast, a delicious three-course menu in the evening, the beach and the sea right outside the door for a walk. Park the car and enjoy. We miss the winters, hope it will be back soon...

Very clean and welcoming hotel. Also very child-friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom has been renovated. Access to the sea in 5 minutes via the stairs up the dike. Free parking space on site. The rooms are cleaned every 2 days. In principle it didn't bother us if you were well organized and removed everything sandy in the entrance area, but at least cleaning the floor every day would be desirable. However, we would have found it more pleasant if the employees at the reception had simply had a chat instead of stubbornly looking at the PC. Especially when you have a bright child with you who greets everyone and everything in a friendly manner. The breakfast was great, left nothing to be desired and the lady in charge there was just warm and you felt at home. We'd love to come back!

Thank you very much for a really well-run hotel with very competent staff. The breakfast was incredibly good and the indoor restaurant was also worth a visit every evening. The service was incredible, very attentive, friendly and helpful in all areas. We didn't want to go home -) Employees are only as good as your leadership and here you could see that the management knew how to run a well-structured hotel with a knowledge of people management. Personally, I was very happy to find out that something like this still exists. We'll be back-) THANK YOU for a great vacation

Beautiful beach, nice area for long bike tours. Absolutely relaxing and highly recommended.Nice location but the hotel needs an overhaul but has a great breakfast buffet, very friendly service and is close to the beach.

We stayed at the Hotel Upstalboom again after a few years and were very disappointed. Nothing against the room...it was nice, but cleaning the room every two days is not an option. You don't have to change the towels every time (that was the reason given) but if I have cups in the room, I would like to have a fresh one every day, especially for the price we paid. The advertised WiFi is only available in the lobby...that should also be mentioned, with the appropriate technology it is also possible to get this throughout the hotel. The situation in the breakfast room in the morning was also not ok. The staff was overwhelmed...there was no service. Even when it's busy you can still demand a well-organized service. You were either left standing after being asked for the room number or you were led to a table that still had the dishes and dirt from the previous person. Then you had to stop and wait for the new items to be set up. You had to get your own coffee (we didn't say so, we saw it by chance). The buffet was otherwise good, everything was available. What is not clear from the hotel's homepage and which we only found out on site is that the breakfast in the Blinkfüür restaurant is leased to third parties and no longer belongs to the hotel. But as a holidaymaker you should find out this information. It's a shame it used to be a good hotel... I can't say that anymore.

Very nice staff (especially at breakfast). The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choice. You can tell that the hotel is getting old. Very clean and good condition of the furniture. The bathroom had already been modernized, the water pressure and temperature of the water were great. What wasn't so nice were the chairs on the balcony. Parking was available at all times. You get a thumbs up from us. One more note, the keychain is huge. Maybe this will be converted to a card? If everything goes well, we will be back with you next year. Greetings Elena and Kai

Somewhat old furniture, but renovated bathroom and otherwise very clean. Great view, great breakfast and very nice staff. Super friendly with dogs. There was a bowl in the room with a bedtime treat for your four-legged friend and a separate dining room if you wanted to have breakfast with your dog.
