A beautifully located youth hostel right on the dike and therefore very close to the North Sea.The staff is very friendly and helpful.There is a playroom for the older ones and a play area for the little ones, which our child really liked.There is also a football field, basketball hoop, pool table and table tennis tables.To end the evening, cold drinks are available at reception until 9 p.m.There is a very nice playground right on the beach within walking distance, approx. 1.5km.There is also a playhouse where there is a lot for the children to play or do with crafts, approx. 3.4km (good to combine with a walk by the sea).

It's pure peace and a great location. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I was here with my child during the fall break. There are lounges and board games are also available. The only thing I didn't like was the adult beds that were next to each other. These were narrower than the other bunk beds. Food was very tasty and well prepared. A big plus was the Nutella for children for breakfast. Not available in every youth hostel. We'll be back. Thanks to all employees.

We spent three nights in this youth hostel with my wife and our two small children (2.5 years and 6 months) and were overall very satisfied. The location is really excellent - the beach is just 100 meters away and the main beach takes about 15 minutes to walk. We give it 5 out of 5 stars for this. We were also impressed by the food; both breakfast and dinner were very good and plentiful. Here too we give 5 out of 5 stars.A small deduction in the organization: the meal times were not always strictly adhered to and we were able to get to our rooms later than expected. Unfortunately there was no exact information as to when we can check in. But that was all still within reason and didn't affect our stay much.The price-performance ratio is absolutely top! We stayed overnight in the old building and still felt very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and the hostel is particularly ideal for families planning a short, relaxing holiday. The surrounding area invites you to relax and there is a nice play area for smaller children.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

We went on a school trip with our entire 6th grade class and were thrilled. The location is great, the beach is almost right on your doorstep, and the children have plenty of space to play. Many thanks to the reception and kitchen teams for the great service!

As always, it was very niceThere is a children's program during the summer holidays. Thank you for everything!The only request for improvement (from the “high level complaining” category)More veggie alternatives at dinner. E.g. If there is chili con carne, preferably an identical sauce - just without meat. Or with other dishes. And yes, I know there are always some vegetarian sauces etc but they are often not "similar" to the meat ones. I would also have been interested in veggie schnitzel on schnitzel day or something similar, for example. pleased

We've already had summer family vacations with two children in the new building twice.Great location, delicious food, family-friendly room, good overall offer 👍🏻A small suggestion for improvement would be:In the toilets, for example in the basement area, there are children's equipment (seat/stool at the toilet - stool at the sink) then you can send the children who can do it from the dinner table to the toilet independently... 🫠

The youth hostel is within walking distance of the wonderful Schillig beach. The employees are all very friendly and helpful with any questions. The outdoor area invites you to relax and children have plenty of opportunities to play. - One point deducted regarding the location, as there is no grocery store in Schillig. -

Rooms were very decent for a school trip, the service was great (the man who ran the geocaching for the 8c on June 25th, 24 was the coolest 🤝), the location was almost perfect, it was 100m from the beach, but you had to walk a long walk to the nearest supermarket.

Very beautiful here. Directly by the sea. Large lawn with goals and baskets for playing. Parking options close to the accommodation. Room was clean. Food was very good. Staff extremely friendly. Especially the cook. 1 km to the next village with Edeka. Grill and fire pit available.

Great youth hostel by the lake. The rooms in the Weltenhaus are very nice and modern. You don't sleep well in the beds. Location on the dike perfect. It doesn't get any better. All in all, the youth hostel is very attractive. The food was a highlight and very good. The water with fruit and e.g. was great. Milk substitute. The salad bar and desserts were also very good. The food truck was also a highlight at Easter. At Easter there was a lot on offer anyway, from music programs to stick bread etc. Very great. The only thing that bothers me is that the price-performance ratio is a bit too high in our opinion.
