We come every year and love it, great rooms and, despite the old walls, cozy and very clean.Super nice staff and try to do justice to everything.Plus the fantastic location.Only recommended!

The service and the location were perfect, you could just ask and you would get it, the rooms were tidy and clean and that was enough for us since you go to a hotel on the Brocken not only to make yourself comfortable there but also to visit the Brocken .There is a bus station right in front of the house, so you can easily get to other places such as Wernigerode by public transport

We were in this small hotel for the second time, unfortunately we only found out on site that there was no longer a restaurant, so we were disappointed. Otherwise everything was okay, breakfast was great, the employee was grumpy and didn't say a word in greeting, something like that doesn't work.

Very nice hotel at the end of Schrieke, which makes it a really quiet place. 30 mins walk to the Bahnhof or you can walk to the top of Brocken. Very friendly staff and a warm welcome! Recommended.

Okay for just sleeping. But otherwise the rooms are not comfortable or nicely decorated. Not a picture on the wall or anything like that. There are also different bathrooms! Once there are 3 rooms with a bathroom as we know it and the rest are strange bathroom cubicles. 30 years after the fall of communism, we should bring this up to date. Also bring more comfort into the dining room. Everything is charged extra, even if it's just a tea bag.

Went there for the second time and were very satisfied again. A bit old. But it has a very pleasant charm. For us, the breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The location and proximity to the Brocken are great. Very nice employees. We would stay there again!!!

Hotel with character. Existing hotel but not worn out. Room was furnished with new furniture. Breakfast was delicious and completely sufficient. Good starting point for hiking.Parking could be a problem if it was at full capacity and I don't even know if there was an elevator.

The flair of the 50s in an Art Nouveau villa. Exactly what we wanted. Very nice people and a good breakfast buffet with delicious coffee. Fridge with drinks and a simple tally sheet. Brockenstrasse directly in front of the hotel. 10 km of asphalt to the summit. Only uphill, hiking trails significantly shorter. We had an apartment with a large bathroom and enough space in 2 rooms. Highly recommended for 105 euros per night.

The employees at the Brockenscheideck in Schierke were very friendly and tried hard to provide helpful information about Schierke and our subsequent trip up the Brocken. Free parking spaces are available. The breakfast was sufficient, we didn't miss anything. The rooms are very spacious. However, the built-in wet cells are not acceptable these days. It's very narrow, it usually smells musty as soon as the door is closed for a long time and even though I'm only 1.60 meters tall, I didn't want to use the narrow, dark shower cubicle with a curtain. The rooms offer space for a real bathroom, but the admittedly high investment is obviously avoided here. It's a shame, given such a good location.

Brocken was blocked. The last parking space in front of the Brocken belongs to the hotel owner. Some information would have been helpful, then we could have saved ourselves the six euros. We drove to the hotel and asked to cancel the ticket because we only parked for 10 minutes. We were denied.

The room was clean and comfortable. The service staff was super friendly. The location is ideal. Maybe it's a little noisy, but after a long hike you'll sleep quickly anyway. The parking lot is free.

Spent a night here on our hike along the Harzer Hexenstieg.We felt very comfortable right from the start, uncomplicated check-in and check-out, very spacious rooms, bathroom cabin in the room was completely ok, very clean, breakfast was great with super delicious rolls! Very friendly. Only recommended.
