We had the emergency room. It was already very small. The equipment was also older. Toilet, shower and sink on an estimated 2.5 m².But the hostel people are really nice. The breakfast buffet is well stocked. Special requests are also fulfilled.And the quiet location on the edge of the forest makes everything worth it. We were able to start the tour straight away with the eMTB.

We were there in Walpurgis and received a very nice and friendly welcome from the owners. The decor is very nostalgic, has something special that we love. It is very quiet and relaxing, the breakfast is very good, enough for everyone. If you, like us, don't like huge, loud and overcrowded hotels, this is exactly the right thing for you. We were very satisfied.

A somewhat outdated, rather rustic hotel, located at the top of the mountain with a warm welcome from the landlady. The room was very large but had old furniture. The bathroom was very narrow. Despite everything, you could see lots of loving decoration details throughout the house. The breakfast buffet was completely ok. We didn't test the sauna area. By the way, there was a beautiful seating area outside. If you like modern and a lot of comfort, this is definitely the wrong place for you. But if you're just looking for a cheap place to stay overnight (even with children), you'll find the right place here.

Rooms very neat and clean. Maybe a bit old-fashioned but it didn't bother us personally. So if you like that, you're in the right place. We also felt comfortable. Service was great from Ms. Schrader. Since the guesthouse is quite high up and all the shops...restaurants..bakeries..souvenirs shops are quite far down, anyone who isn't used to it should take the car...a strenuous walk? Otherwise very nice place, you can get everywhere easily by car...bike, bus...tourist tax... There is also an information stand for tourists there, which is highly recommended..

This house looks very beautiful from the outside. From the inside the house looks like it was in the 70s but it has a very special charm. The rooms are nice and big and harmonious. Inexpensive too. We felt very comfortable and will happily come back again and again.

The house is located above Braunlage, you can walk everywhere from there. It is also very quiet there, making it very relaxing. The house is quite old, unfortunately so are the furnishings and furnishings. The rooms and especially the bathrooms should urgently be renovated. The breakfast was good and the buffet was constantly replenished. Dogs are allowed in the room, but not in the dining room. Unfortunately there was no bowl provided in the room for the dogs.

We really enjoyed it and would love to come back. The location is perfect. Everything can be reached quickly on foot in Braunlage. Breakfast was very good.

If you want to stay overnight cheaply, this is the place for you.The interior design makes you feel slightly like you've been transported to the 70s, but it's clean. The owners and staff are very nice and the breakfast is also very good. We felt very comfortable.

Anyone who would like to feel like they have been transported back 50 - 100 years is in good hands there, creaking floorboards, creepy old furniture, blind windows, everything is worn out and uncomfortable. There is nothing to complain about at breakfast. If everything else in the Harz hadn't been fully booked, we wouldn't have booked this house voluntarily!

I have no idea how this hotel gets its current rating. The rooms are really dingy and way too small. The people's receiver in each room could also be slowly replaced. It was also unbearably hot in the room under the attic (August trip). The entire house has also been transformed into a large hunting room. If you like that, this is the right place. The breakfast and the garden were positive (for your information: the operators of the hotel can be found in the garden all day long).

Beautiful old house, super lovely operator and friendly staff. Room was large, TV a bit small. Bathroom was sufficient but old-fashioned. Breakfast buffet was good. Super quiet location, right next to the forest. A little less carpet and carpet would be nicer and there would be a slight renovation backlog here and there, which the operator says is known, but since there is no successor in the starting blocks, nothing big will be done.
