The review only refers to the restaurant:The kitchen was given to me, among other things: recommended in a Facebook group. That's why I specifically scheduled one of my hikes so that I would come by at lunchtime, if it wasn't also a rest day.The menu is clear, but I was still spoiled for choice as to what to order. The service was attentive, quick and friendly.I had the Fried Pork Medallions with Mushroomsin herb cream and with butter spaetzle -Portion and value for money are right. There is typical regional German cuisine. Then I asked if I could get some more sauce to go with the spaetzle. Unfortunately, I “only” got gravy and not the herb cream. But it wasn't charged extra either. that's why it was like that.I'll definitely go there again when I'm in the area again (there are great hiking trails from/in Obertal)

Visit on Thursday, August 29, 2024 (between 4:35 p.m. - 5:50 p.m.)The Gasthof Blume in Baiersbronn-Obertal has been around for 5 generations, where Black Forest hospitality is conveyed and lived. The specialties of the kitchen are modern, regional and have a seasonal reference. On site you can experience 'nature - peace - serenity' - the right thing to switch off from everyday life.I reserved a table in advance by email for 5:30 p.m. Since my preliminary appointment ended earlier, I was able to arrive earlier at around 4:35 p.m. and I was warmly greeted by the service staff and shown to my table on the terrace. The menu was handed to me by the service staff (there is a snack menu between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.) - at this point, I was the only guest on the terrace - after that there was a waiting period of 15 minutes, during which the employee stopped answering came to me.At around 4:50 p.m. the employee came to me and wanted to take the drinks or food - since I couldn't see a drinks menu at that time, I asked for them. Now that I had the drinks menu, I was able to place my complete order. An order:> Aperol Spritz 0.25l for €5.90> Gaisburger Marsch - Swabian stew with potatoes, beef and spaetzle for €9.00> Fruit liqueurs on request>> Wild blackberry 2cl for €3.20Summary:> There are different cards stored on the half board or on site (some with: snack menu - daily recommendation - meatless dishes - dessert) >> here you should make sure that the current menu is also stored online if you already offer this.> the staff is slow in places, or there are longer breaks in between where you don't have anyone to contact and the staff first has to check with the kitchen or the counter about some things in order to make a correct statement (fruit liqueurs) - that wouldn't be the case It's still bad, but if this results in another break of 10 minutes, that's a bit long in my opinion. When a new guest arrives, you should first ask whether a drinks menu is needed.> the food was good [I didn't know it before] - only the pieces of beef included could have been a little less fat.> In terms of price, the flower is in the very good mid-price range and I was very satisfied with the price-performance ratio.Despite my criticisms, I would recommend the Gasthof Blume to others because the positive aspects outweighed the negative aspects and I would like to visit it again another time to get a second opinion.
