Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to rate this house. We wanted to arrive on a Saturday using a gift voucher. Although the rooms were offered cheaper on the internet on both dates, they didn't let us book. With a voucher for one night worth over 150.00 euros, I can't understand why it would be November represents problem. We definitely don't want to book this house again, no matter when.

The hotel feels like a ruin. Poorly cleaned, old, worn out.The smell of the old carpet hits you as you walk in.The stars are a joke. The manager at reception was uninterested and arrogantly brushed off our concerns. There is no WiFi, no network, routers are outdated and apparently nothing is being invested. If you don't want to hear complaints and the lack of Wi-Fi is seen as asking too much, then you don't need to talk about standards.A few staff members occasionally make an effort. But overall it's a disaster, you feel uncomfortable and just want to leave. Not recommended! Book friendly little hotel one street further down. Cheaper and warmer.

Hotel in typical Dutch/Zwarte Woud style, rustic with veel hout, rustically located in the bos.4 nights booked in a comfort room, half board. There is a living room with a balcony, there is also a bathroom, there is a living room with a bathroom and a separate shower. Recently renovated. Good sleep.Ontbijtbuffet zeker voldoende, various fleece and kaassoorten, groenten, fruit, omelet, speck and “Nürnberger”, various broodsoorten, ontbijtgranen, yoghurt… Cameras have never been repaired, never really needed. He is a card for the world, as ever on the other hand.Wellness with swimming pool, 2 saunas and stoombath. Zwembadwater aan de frisse kant, maar tijdens ons bezoek a pleasant coking after a warm day. Stombad helaas defect de full period. It's rustic, it's also remote. 's Avonds aangewezen op the hotel zelf. A little different in the neighborhood.Free parking spaces are available in front of the large rooms (78), you have access to a large parking space. There is a steep slipway near the entrance. In the hotel there are also seminaries. Gevolg, om 9u ontbijtbuffet vrijwel leeg, en nauwelijks gedekte tafels beschikbaar. Opaanvraag everything will be wel aangevuld.Hotel in the typical German/Black Forest style, rustic with lots of wood, quietly located in the forest.Booked 4 nights in a comfort room, half board. Very spacious room with balcony, forest view, very spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Recently renovated. Good sleep quality.Breakfast buffet is definitely sufficient, various types of meat and cheese, vegetables, fruit, omelets, bacon and Nuremberger, various types of bread, breakfast cereals, yoghurt... Coffee machine or coffee on the table (weekends).Dinner 4 courses, with a choice of main course. Very neat and tasty. Sublime desserts. Very friendly service at dinner and in the breakfast room!Rooms are not cleaned every day, which is not absolutely necessary. In case maintenance is still required, there is a card for the door.Wellness with swimming pool, 2 saunas and steam bath. The water in the swimming pool was quite fresh, but when we visited it was pleasantly cool after a hot day. Unfortunately, the steam bath was defective throughout the entire period.Very quiet, but also remote. In the evening we had to rely on the hotel itself. There is hardly anything else nearby.Free parking, but not enough for the number of rooms (78), so you have to look for a free space in the evening. Very steep slope to the entrance. There are also seminars at the hotel. The result: At 9 a.m. the breakfast buffet is almost empty and there are hardly any set tables left. Everything was refilled upon request.

Everyone very friendly. The Luxus room is BEAUTIFUL. The sound of the River can be heard on the balconies and helps you relax and sleep soundly. Very complete breakfast. The decoration details in every corner are beautiful. Definitely. We will be back.

The hotel is basically okay, especially for people who like to have a quiet vacation and want to be isolated from the outside world. The rooms are good.As a point of criticism, I would like to criticize the unsolicited "first name" from the staff, which I found to be extremely impertinent. Furthermore, I found the menus to be rather unseasoned and somewhat tasteless.

Hello, I got a suite and was extremely disappointed. What can I say it was a complete disaster, cobwebs on the lamp curtain totally messed up with whatever, dust on the bed frame wherever you looked, very unclean. Mold on the toilet and a fist-sized stain in the bathroom, disgusting. There was still a bee in the bathtub and bird droppings on the lounger from the balcony. Unfortunately there was no Wi-Fi reception.

Beautiful hotel, pleasant and quiet with good services. Unfortunately, the same is not true for table service. We arrived at the table at 7:30 p.m. and had our meal at 8:30 p.m. The dishes were mostly cold. We were very crowded even though the room is large. The table was very cluttered, the aperitif glasses were not cleared, there was a lot of unnecessary crockery, including small plates with cutlery for appetizers (12 small thin baguettes for 16 people.) We asked for wine several times, it arrived when we had finished our plates. A vegan person asks for a salad without the goat cheese, and they are told no, it’s not possible? ? And finally, we are told that there is no dessert apart from scoops of ice cream or tiramisu. In short, a bit of the impression of being ignored and neglected throughout the meal. The 2 waiters (obviously completely overwhelmed) were very friendly on the other hand and did what they could.

Family stay at the hotel for the Easter weekend. Very nice establishment, welcoming staff.Free outdoor parking. We had a comfort double room with balcony, very spacious and very well equipped, although there is no kettle for tea or coffee. Free WiFi throughout the hotel except Welness.Impeccable cleanliness, whether the rooms or the common areas.Very beautiful wellness area, large swimming pool and sauna area.Complete and very good breakfast that you can have in a glass roof, top.The hotel offered a three-course Easter evening menu for €40, nothing to complain about, excellent. The hotel does not offer lunch at midday. There is a lounge area at the entrance, but for us a bar is missing, especially in the evening. We had an excellent stay.If you don't want to dine at the hotel, I recommend the hotel restaurant Jaegerhof, a 5-minute walk from the Monchs Waldhotel.

I've been doing 3 days of wellness there for years, great wellness area, great rooms, dignified ambience... Simply good.
