We spent a wonderful weekend at the Ruhnau riding stable! The facilities are well maintained and it was nice to see how much love the horses and other animals (dogs, cats, pigs, goats...) are cared for.In the evening, a cozy campfire with mulled wine and children's punch created the perfect feel-good atmosphere. The warm hospitality made us feel right at home. A great place to get away from it all and enjoy nature to the fullest!

We were guests at the Ruhnau horse farm for two days and were absolutely thrilled.We felt very comfortable. I was immediately impressed by the loving atmosphere and the impressive care of the horses. The stables are clean and spacious and the horses appear healthy and happy.You can immediately tell that the team has a real passion for the animals. The riding lessons are excellently organized and the trainers give valuable tips to improve your skills.In the evening everyone sat together by the fire with stick bread.I can only warmly recommend the horse farm to every horse lover!

If you're looking for peace and quiet, then you've come to the right place.The riding children also seemed happy and content.The apartments are equipped with everything you need.You can tell that the farm is run with a lot of passion and commitment.The horses all look really healthy and very well cared for. The horses are very sociable when it comes to contact with strangers.

My daughter was very dissatisfied with the riding lessons. The riding instructor is said to have yelled at the children. Sentences should have been made like: "I wouldn't buy such nice riding boots if I couldn't ride!"Instead of a varied program there was 3x television. Three children were picked up two days early because they no longer wanted to be there. The riding time was shortened individually by the riding instructor, so that my daughter did not have to ride twice a day for 45 minutes as agreed.Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this riding stable.

Danger! That was a bad riding holiday week for the girls. The complex looks nice, I can't say anything about the holiday apartments. However, the rooms for the kids in the riding camp are pretty bland and rather simply furnished - but that would be good if the rest were right... but unfortunately no, absolutely old school. There is complaining, working with a lot of negative pressure and even crying in class. Empathy and child-friendly communication of new content cannot be found here. It's just really bad on a personal level. The phone calls (from several parents) to Ms. Ruhnau didn't bring much relief for the children either - and even put a strain on us parents.For my very sensitive, empathetic horse girl, for whom horsemanship and connection to the animal are so important, staying through the week on site was a huge challenge. I'll never go there again and I certainly won't recommend this farm either! Very, very unfortunate!

We were there for the third time now, this time for a whole two weeks and over Easter and it was, as always, very, very nice! Our daughter rode the pony she knew and loved at the lunge again and was even allowed to ride in the department for the very first time on the last day, what a highlight! The riding lessons are really very good, the children are really taken into account and they also ask whether the child feels comfortable, still has enough strength, and so on. We have two more holidays planned on the wonderful farm this year and again next year, we are absolutely thrilled! Our little Bullerbü and the escape from everyday life: pigs, calves, goats and sheep as well as chickens, cats and dogs and of course ponies and horses, all absolutely lovely! The children are allowed to feed in the evening and look forward to it every day. For us it's the best riding stable or farm I know, we're really looking forward to the next time!!!

We've been there for the second time now and we really enjoyed it again, so we've already booked for next year :-) beautiful farm, great ponies, very, very good riding lessons, very clean and nice accommodation with everything as much as your heart desires and the main thing: the child was absolutely happy with the holidays again! In summer we were able to go swimming every day in the nearby lake and now in autumn we have taken wonderful walks in nature. We will definitely come back more often and are already looking forward to the next time! Thank you for the lovely week!!!

My daughter wanted to go on a horse riding holiday on the farm and didn't feel comfortable at all. Harsh riding instructor, unfriendly atmosphere and devastating lessons, the children cried.On the second day, half of the group left. Ms. Ruhnau is humanly and educationally unsuitable for dealing with children. Please think carefully and check whether your child can tolerate this!

Very well-kept facility, beautiful apartments and, above all, excellent teaching. What we also liked so much is the lovely way we interact with the horses. After the riding lesson, the horses immediately came to the paddock. Earning money from horses and taking good care of them is possible!

Our daughter spent a lovely week with her friends at the riding camp for beginners at the Ruhnau horse farm. We as parents had a good feeling because everything was taught little by little and safety was the priority. That's why it's stricter. Overall she thought it was very good. Our daughter particularly praised the good food and the additional activities such as swimming in the pool and the night hike. At the end there was a great video of the week as a souvenir. Thank you. We spent a week at the horse farm with our children. The children enjoyed visiting the dwarf riding school with great joy. Riding instructor Nicole took great care of her and listened to her abilities and needs.The accommodation is fine - bedroom and living room with another bed, so that a maximum of 4 people can stay. Electricity is billed separately according to consumption. The WiFi wasn't great, but luckily we had our cell phone data.Some of the negative reviews about the farm complain about the tone during riding lessons. I can't confirm that. None of the students ran out crying. As with other sports, clear announcements are made, but in the large riding arena you have to do it a little louder. The trainers are also trainers and not the nice aunt who is just having fun. In addition, the "sports equipment" here are horses, which can hurt if treated incorrectly and it is therefore important to know how to handle them correctly.

The horse farm is very nice, apartments are clean and spacious.Now to the absolute minus points, the riding instructor (Nicole) is very unfriendly, puts the children down so that they cry on the spot and don't want to ride anymore, really a shame because it should still be fun for the children! Really a shame!

This was the second time I visited with my child, both over the weekend. My child attended the dwarf riding school on Saturdays and Sundays both years. For younger children the ride is a little shorter; this year we walked for 40 minutes. The natural paths around the farm are extremely pretty and leading the ponies, which is done by a riding instructor, is very nice. The children were well involved in cleaning. Questions answered at any time.We stayed in apartment number 2 and I find it very functional and relaxing. WiFi always worked. Electricity is charged extra (around €5 for us).I have already recommended the horse farm several times to friends and acquaintances. We'd love to come back.

My daughter went to summer camp for a week. It was a very strict and, above all, humiliating lesson: all the children who were there were constantly shouted at and told that everything they had learned before was wrong. They had to complain to their parents. Only after several calls from parents did things become less strict and a little better.In addition, this « holiday camp » almost only consists of 1.5 hours of riding lessons per day (plus brushing and saddling the horses, plus a night hike and a film evening...). During the day the children were left to their own devices and no activities were suggested to them.

Our daughter was there alone with her friends for a week of riding holidays. It was wonderful, with good riding lessons, a movie night, a campfire and a carriage ride, everything was included. At the end there was a souvenir video for the parents and children. Many thanks to the Ruhnau family and the team.

We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. The complex is very well maintained, the apartment is very nicely furnished. We finally learned to ride properly. The horses are super relaxed and very loving.We can recommend the farm to anyone who would like to learn to ride. Our men were able to go fishing nearby and there is also a small swimming area in town where you can swim. Thank you very much for a very relaxing holiday, the Ruhnau family!!

We have been enjoying a week of family vacation in Ruhnau in the summer for 3 years. We are thrilled with our clean and well-equipped apartment; the view from the terrace, the peace and quiet and the wonderfully child-friendly facility. The children love the riding lessons and are happy about what they have learned.This year the children spontaneously persuaded us to go on a week's riding holiday there without parents :-).Riding lessons twice a day, theory, great other children and according to our son: "the week was 5 stars plus and the food was great".Compared to other providers, we like the family concept, no crowds of visitors and that the children don't need their pocket money.We are looking forward to the next year.
