The castle really looks impressive from the outside. This creates expectations of a nice stay, which unfortunately cannot be fulfilled. The rooms make a very shabby impression. Smeared furniture, greasy floor coverings, toilet flushing didn't work properly - these are a few examples. Plus silverfish in the bathrooms and bugs crawling through the room. The cleanliness is really unacceptable. The staff doesn't seem very motivated either. Breakfast is not replenished promptly, and dinner (we had half board) was carelessly replenished.The prices for rooms and food are quite high and in no way correspond to the value you can expect in return.In short - despite the beautiful landscape, I cannot recommend staying in this hotel.

Well, we were a bit disappointed.We actually imagined something different. Overnight stay in the castle with a nice atmosphere, great food and so on. Next time I'll definitely read the reviews, then I could have figured it out and booked something else.So probably for a holiday with children or something like that it might be nice here, the castle is a kind of youth hostel, not a restaurant etc.The room (comfort room) went like this, honestly... nothing castle-like, just very simple without any frills, such as. Hairdryer, bar, etc. no possibility of making coffee or similar.The same goes for the bathroom, only the bare necessities, no shelf for the care utensils, a small shower with unfortunately a bit of mold.There is also no beautiful castle garden. Just a great prefabricated building right in front of the castle.So in our opinion not recommended for a couples holiday. For families… I can't say anything.A little addendum,The breakfast was really good, big selection, something for everyone. The coffee was also great, as were the staff, polite and nice.

The castle is chic. The circular route is also good. But that was it. In the end you don't get the feeling that you are looking at a castle or that you are in a nostalgic place. Maybe it's the location, maybe it's what's around it. Maybe it's the opposites that meet there. On one side is the castle, which has been there for several hundred years and is obviously well maintained, and directly opposite is a hostel with a very strong GDR character. I don't want to denigrate his character and charm. But it's a strange feeling to stand between the two buildings. When you see how great things were built almost 1000 years ago and what they did in the GDR...! Regardless, it was kind of weird. Oh, there is a small playground for kids and for those who like to play with a ball, there is also a small sports field. And for others, whether big or small, who have their strengths in petting, there is also a relatively large enclosure with goats.

Boitzenburg Castle is undoubtedly an impressive property with a lot of historical charm. The picturesque surroundings contribute significantly to the special flair. However, the age of the castle can be seen in some places. Anyone looking for a trip back in time will definitely find it here, but a little modernization wouldn't hurt. Overall, a wonderful destination for everyone who appreciates peace and history.

A wonderfully beautiful castle from the outside!Unfortunately the restaurant is never open when we are there. There is a beautiful beach and you can rent canoes. It's definitely worth it.

Very nice castle, but the area around it could be expanded. Somehow a beautiful castle park is missing. Most of the paths still have tiles from the GDR era.

an absolutely fantastic castle...at least on the outside...we visited the park...we then looked for a toilet in the castle...the smell in the toilet could rival a motorway toilet...disgusting...the smell The hotel resembled a school canteen...according to information on the Internet, the house is used for school trips and holiday camps...for 1 euro you can go through a turnstile into a small museum (1 room), which is located in the basement... we had to get out of there as quickly as possible because of the smell of mold... it's a shame, a shame, a shame
