Nicely located place. Unfortunately, there is “wild” camping here. Too few toilets, some campers find it too far to the sanitary facilities and end up peeing on the bushes. Sleep at night is also a foreign concept. The place is overpriced. Definitely won't come back.

Hotel, apartments and campsite. Claim and attitude: Hipster Berlin. Young, cool, energetic.Nicely located and somehow nicely done, but neither at the reception, nor on the phone beforehand, nor in the restaurant was anyone approachable, warm or particularly friendly.Quite expensive for that. The sanitary building is totally fine, but not extremely clean or well maintained. For the sauna, each person would have had to pay another 15€/3h.

To the campsite and restaurant:Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be.The campsite is unkempt. The washhouse is the worst. Hair in the showers, water doesn't drain. No paper towels, dirt in every corner. Potholes...well, nature camping or not. When it comes to prices, it's just sad....According to past recessions, it's now the new standard. What a shame!!!!We're looking for another place after being a regular guest for many years. The restaurant no longer tastes good and is completely overpriced given the now small portions!

Unfortunately the map has been very, very reduced in size. We always came specifically for the Thai fun, which was also canceled. No more burgers on the menu...The portions were smaller than usual today. We then wanted to buy dessert. We were given the card. When we wanted to order there was only one Hoiwawagga left... Saturday evening. Very, very unfortunate!

We spent two weeks at the Adventurecamp Schnitzmühle campsite. Unfortunately we had mostly rainy weather, which caused a lot of mud and puddles. Unfortunately, when it rained, there was a 16 m2 puddle next to our stand and the access was very muddy for us. When asked, the young woman at reception wanted to let the caretaker know who should take care of it. Despite further inquiries, this never happened. The site was well occupied for the weekend in late September and campers enjoyed controlled campfires when there was no rain. This weekend it was “the campsite of the “hundred” fires. Sometimes it smoked very unpleasantly when lighting the fire. It was very quiet on the pitch over the week. Hiking in the area is of course great, unfortunately not directly on Black Rain, as private property does not allow a direct hiking trail. However, this is possible further away using the forest railway. The sanitary facilities were constantly kept clean, which was not so easy because of the rainy weather. For us as older people, the location of the campsite was excellent for exploring the Bavarian Forest and the surrounding towns. The campsite is beautiful and idyllic, but there is still some room for improvement when it comes to maintaining the site.

We were immediately impressed by the pictures on the website, and our expectations were even slightly exceeded on site. We booked a Terra house and immediately felt at home there because it was beautifully and modernly furnished. The entire complex with the 24-hour vending machine shop, the small shop at the reception, the restaurant and the wellness area is highly recommended. The restaurant's menu offers enough variety and super tasty dishes. The only small negative point was the breakfast, as you could only choose from a buffet and not from a breakfast menu (as it is/was available online). After all, the buffet cost “only” 19 euros per person instead of 25, as according to the online menu. Nevertheless, we would have liked a better selection and perhaps a fully automatic coffee machine would be a better alternative than the filter coffee on offer.Overall, a really nice holiday, we will definitely come back!
