Super nice guesthouse, right on the lake. Furniture a little older, but very clean. Bathroom a bit small, but sufficient. Breakfast very 👍 good. Owner very friendly, our dog was also very welcome. Location great! Right at the harbor and various locations.

A beautiful place to relax or go on nice trips. Very nice and accommodating host who loves her work. This can be found throughout the house and on the grounds. Your team is incredibly nice and helpful. Very tasty breakfast, when the weather is nice on the terrace or down on the lawn with a view of the lake. Highly recommended. As a rule, we never go to a holiday destination twice, but we would immediately make an exception here. Thank you for everything.

A great hostess, great service with excellent breakfast on the terrace or in the house, dog and cat friendly, a great view of the harbor and lake from a first location, the staff is very accommodating, bicycle cellar with charging facility.The furniture, bathroom with shower and the floor are outdated, but they don't play a role in the evaluation and give the house a certain charm.The bed/mattress/bedding (without a visitor's crack) were really very good and we weren't lightweights :-) and slept excellently!There was also a small refrigerator in the room so that you could prepare your own snack on the balcony or in the garden or keep your wine, etc. cold.There is also a drinks cupboard with cheap drinks etc. in the hallway if the beer or wine runs out... ;-)The bathhouse is really great and has direct access from inside and outside into the lake (could be slippery).The place "Bodman" (named after Count Bodman) is ideal for guests who don't want a lot of hustle and bustle but also don't want to miss out on anything (as of May).So, I give a 100% recommendation and will come back to explore the area outside of the lake area and look forward to the next swim in Lake Constance with drinking water quality after the bike tours... :-)LGB&M

We spent 5 days in Bodman at the Hotel Sommerhaus, we were very satisfied, the people were very nice, the breakfast was great, everything was beautifully decorated and homely, there was also a room with a balcony and a view of the lake, it was just nice, go and have a look !!!!🙋😄💜

We will be back ! No question !Perfect location right on the lake with a beautiful nostalgic boathouse from which you can get into the lake and swim. Cozy room, very clean. Feel-good atmosphere, also through lovingly designed details, such as fresh roses every day. For breakfast we had the best coffee we've had in a hotel for a long time, and the breakfast itself couldn't be better according to our taste. The hostess and her friendly team were very accommodating and warm. Thank you for everything !

Accommodation with ups and downsThe Hotel garni Sommerhaus is an older property with direct access to the lake.I would describe our room as quite small, but it was very clean.Unfortunately, a lot of things are getting old, e.g. B. the bathroom. There is a small balcony facing the lake with a very nice view. But here too, investments could be made again.The bathhouse (accessible via a footbridge) - like many other things - takes you back in time a little. The condition is a bit sad in some places.Personally, I think the reviews with almost 5.0 are a bit exaggerated, we really know a lot of hotels and overall, in our opinion, it's not just the really beautiful location that counts, but the whole thing.And we noticed one thing that was a bit unpleasant: the contact via email was very friendly, but at the reception and the rest of the time we know friendliness and warmth differently.It was also not possible to stay at the lake for a certain amount of time; we were supposed to leave at 11 a.m.Another word about the furnishings: Sorry, but the room looks a bit “thrown together”, we have already seen more successful furnishings in this price range. The same impression is also prevalent in the lying area. A little more “look” and uniformity would be nice.So overall a “good” impressionwith three stars.Location is great, without question, but there is a traffic jam and - at least in our case - the boss's demeanor is a bit too unfriendly.By the way, the breakfast was also quite good! We would consider the price-performance ratio to be a little too high.

Very nice, small hotel with a view of Lake Constance. In summer you can have breakfast on the meadow right on the bank, there is everything your heart desires. The boss and her employees are very nice people, everything was tippi toppi. But I have to complain about one thing. If you're a non-smoker, like us, and you have a neighbor who smokes all the time, it's unpleasant because all the smoke comes into the room. I would reconsider that and perhaps make it a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is out these days anyway.
