Although we had a wonderful week it wasn't because of Hotel Berglandhof. This is the hotel where all your prejudices regarding all inclusive hotels will be furfilled. ||||First of all, it's not really "all inclusive". …

23-24 Feb 2018. On arrival the 1st thing I HAD to do was fling open the balcony door (even though it was -12c outside) to get rid of the awful stink in the room (not cigarettes, more like a dead cat). Stepping onto the balcony felt very unsafe - there is definitely wood rot here. Another big surprise was in the bathroom - straight out of the 1970's - brown wall tiles and an avocado green WC & washbasin. No soap, showergel etc - you must bring your own!Meals are only just adequate. Lunch especially poor but breakfast ok. Drinks are however good.Swimming pool & saunas recently updated, no problems there except that the saunas are only accessible from 16:00 hours through the evening meal time.I would advise people NOT to stay here - there are plenty of other hotels offering better service at a similar price. In other words, Hotel Bergland Hoff is a "Rip-Off" in my opinion.

Simple but good hotel.Great value for money! We'd love to come back!Room was a bit dated, but clean. No mold in the silicone joints,Mattresses were not worn out.Location was quiet.Food was simple but tasty (starter, salad, soup, choice of 2 main courses, dessert) and was served. We've had enough. We didn't use lunch. We were there to go hiking and liked the different options in the area (up to 30 minutes' drive). We did both summit, ridge and gorge hikes.Sauna was good. The pool outside was nice for refreshing after the hike.

We had booked our stay at this hotel from Sunday to Sunday in week 37 of 2024. This was the strangest holiday week we have ever experienced as far as weather goes. Summer, autumn and winter in one week. The hotel is located in a beautiful area in the Bavarian Forest, near the Dreisesselberg (three-country point Germany/Austria/Czech Republic). Enjoyed the surroundings, but also the (indoor) swimming pool, the food and the drinks. The hotel is being renovated gradually; you can see the difference between the old and the new. It is not a super-deluxe hotel, but the prices reflect that. You can use the wellness, sauna and swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) free of charge. The food is normally buffet style, but because there were not many guests this week, there were two menus to choose from. Deliciously varied and very tasty dinners. The breakfast is also simple, but good. At lunch you can enjoy a fresh salad with soup and sandwiches. The staff is very hospitable and helpful. Nothing is too crazy or too much.

Check in from 2 p.m. Rooms are ok - bathroom even has a bathtub. The heating has not yet been activated, I was provided with a fan heater. Indoor pool felt like it was only 26 degrees - tip to families with children = indoor pool in the campsite with around 30 degrees is public. For the sauna from 4 p.m., please add it to the list in advance. Normal breakfast without any frills such as: Pastries or fried eggs. Due to too few guests, the evening buffet was converted into a 5-course menu = allow 2 hours. Conclusion for me as a frequent traveler = hotel is on a budget = price/performance ok - but there are certainly better hotels.

Unfortunately our room was in great need of renovation. The tiles in the bathroom have mold on them, the patio door doesn't open properly, it's tilted and can be opened at the same time. The small Garden table destroyed and unusable. The food was always great, looked very good and tasted delicious. Unfortunately no buffet, only 2 dishes to choose from. Unfortunately we weren't asked for lunch, even though it was all inclusive. The pool outside was not ready for swimming, no time to clean it for three days. Almost no staff and therefore probably no guests there, apart from us and a couple. There is no second time here for us 😒
