Best of all, zero had to sleep in moldy tents for a week and everyone got sick and some even had to be picked up because of that, shame on you, food was ok

You have to take soap with you for your room, except for the teacher's room there is no soap in the other rooms 🤷‍♀️

I was here on a get-to-know-you trip in a room for 6 people, the food was delicious and the people were nice, the kiosk had nice souvenirs and the location was great, but what was annoying was that you could hear through the walls as if they were made of cardboard, and the pillows were very bad flat and the mattress uncomfortable all together 4 stars

The youth hostel had a great location, especially since it was so close to the water. It was a very fair price/performance ratio.

The youth hostel was very good, the rolls were delicious and so was the lunch. The best thing was the location. Only the road separates the youth hostel from the beach. The only thing that wasn't so good was that when you took a shower the whole bathroom was wet.

I was here with my class on a school trip. The sea was very nice, that's why 4 stars. However, the room was bad, the showers were dirty and the beds were uncomfortable. The service was very nice but some were moody that's why 3 stars. All in all I think it's suitable for 1-2 times but otherwise not more. You should know

The JH clearly impresses with its location right on the beach. This really is unbeatable! Lübeck and Hansapark are easy to reach, you can do a lot with children and have alternatives such as the thermal baths and the Sea Life Center in bad weather. The JH building is spacious with many meeting rooms and a large sports hall. Each room has its own bathroom. Only the enormous noise level was tiring, perhaps you should think about soundproofing (e.g. on ceilings)... But we'll be happy to come back! 👍👍👍

Unfortunately not recommended! Was there for a week on a school trip:• The youth hostel is very old, which isn't a bad thing in itself. But above all the rooms are run down and no care is taken to make them look nice.• The rooms are very narrow. A room for 6 people is actually only suitable (in terms of space) for 4 people. I find it very strange that there is only one bathroom (and only one sink!) in a 6-person room.• The interior of the youth hostel (especially the rooms) is very dreary, there is no decoration or anything else to be found anywhere. There are bars in front of the windows and the windows only open when they are tilted, which is very warm in summer.• The employees are all really unfriendly. When the teachers were away and the staff spoke to us students alone, we were spoken to in such an unfriendly manner, an outrage! As a guest, you want to feel comfortable there and not be harassed by the staff about unimportant things. A “please” isn’t too much to ask. Only one employee from the kitchen was very nice.• The food is the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. For example, the rice wasn't cooked properly, and in general the food just didn't taste good. Unfortunately, you have no other options and have to eat what is put in the kitchen.• The WiFi is very poor throughout the entire house except at the reception.Summary:The youth hostel in Scharbeutz is really bad. The rooms are unreasonable, the food is the worst and the hostel is completely dreary. Unfortunately, requests will not be accommodated. You can't feel comfortable in the youth hostel. It doesn't help that the hostel is right on the beach.

Toilets were full of feces. Bathroom is way too small, dirty and doesn't even have a window. Windows in the room only open and it is very stuffy, and the rooms look as if they were last renovated 15 years ago. The wallpaper is painted or stained everywhere. There was more hair in the food, it tasted like cat food and the rice wasn't cooked through. After all, the way to the beach is very short. You are not allowed to eat your own food in the youth hostel, even though the snack machines are completely overpriced and the nearest supermarket is about 2 kilometers away.
