This is an event, first take a beer bath in the brewhouse and then spend the night in the beer barrel. The host couple is very friendly and we felt very comfortable. There's beer until you can't stop drinking. For dinner we went to the Gasthaus zur Höll in the same town and breakfast in the town at the Gheorghiu bakery is also highly recommended. The night was really quiet, no street noise. The town of Steinach is very manageable and small. There is no food included during the overnight stay but there is enough liquid bread 🍞🍻🍻🍻

We come from Cologne and were at Ankerla for the first time. What can I say... the beer and the host Stefan are the best I've ever experienced. The beer was delicious and Stefan immersed us in the history of the Ankerla brewery. Just perfect!

Although the booking was binding, the innkeeper had no idea about the booking. After further consultation I was told that the booking had been cancelled. When I said no, the answer I got was, oh, my husband must have forgotten about it. Other than a “sorry” 0 reaction.It's better to reassure yourself before you arrive, otherwise you'll find yourself in front of locked doors

We had booked the quickie: a friendly and fascinating brewery tour with tasting, a fragrant beer bath in the new brewery with a beer flat rate, a snack in the garden with a view over Steinach and a cozy overnight stay in the sleeping barrel with an adjacent shower barrel (very comfortable and fully equipped ). Breakfast the next morning was also included.

Transforming an old brewery into a wellness area is simply a great idea. In addition, the idea was implemented brilliantly. You sit in the perfectly warmed beer bathtub and look out over the small town while you enjoy your beer. The owners were very friendly during our visit (June 2020 Corona) and everything went beautifully uncomplicated. The room was nicely furnished and you can take care of yourself there without any problems.

We were disappointed here. The access for our motorhome is very narrow. Then nothing happened. Doors locked. Although there was a telephone number for house guests, there was no invitation to spend a night here. A pity
