The hotel is not modern, but still has a nice atmosphere. Everything is clean and tidy. The reception was friendly. The rooms are good, without any special features. Breakfast was a buffet, even though there were only two of us. It was absolutely sufficient and the price-performance ratio was completely fine

Beautiful location with a view of the Rennsteig, close to the mountain swimming pool and local hiking trails, very nice staff, beautiful, well-equipped, clean rooms and a sumptuous breakfast! It was a very pleasant short stay!

A small inn in a rural idyll, which is ideal for family celebrations. The kitchen of the house is excellent. A thank you from the chef.The rooms are of normal standard and the house is in a beautiful location and has good transport connections.The house is particularly recommended for medium-sized family celebrations.A federal bowling alley invites you to pass the time between the courses.

THANK YOU again and all LOVE and GOOD, especially health in these difficult times.At this point a really BIG PRAISE to the Kirchner family including dear grandma and daughter. We, as a group of 8 people, were allowed to check in early and were given a very friendly welcome and looked after by everyone from the beginning to the end of our stay. We also got great tips for starting the hike the next morning towards Oberhof. Our 4 different rooms were all lovingly furnished, clean and comfortable, all WiFi. The same applies to the sanitary areas.The Kirchner family felt responsible for us at all times and made our stay (including a great individual dinner and loving breakfast) at the Helmerser Wirtshaus a lasting memory :-)))))The check out the next morning was just as uncomplicated, easy and welcoming as everything else before.We all found that service was delivered in a very authentic and sincere way by everyone. Please keep it up, feeling good is not just a theory for you.

Unfortunately, the inn has had its best days behind it, and the furnishings in the rooms are correspondingly old. Nevertheless, the breakfast is sufficient and the staff is friendly.
