Away from the front. It is a THREE star hotel.I was there on business, so luckily I didn't pay anything.I had a nice little room. Was well furnished. But the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Mattress was extremely hard. Every morning I woke up with back pain.Every time I turned on the shower it smelled like a drain like it was raining outside. The shower head was smaller than my hand. The pressure was extremely high.The room I had was not tidy under the bed. I found a small bag of leftover food. A colleague of mine even had half a kebab.The prices are beyond everything. You ordered a 0.4 cola, but then you got Pepsi (complaining at a high level) and paid €4.80.The rolls at breakfast tasted “old”. Not crispy.The service and the employees were top. You can't complain about the garden and everything around it either.

Latest experience 2024:The reception was friendly and the staff is generally accommodating. This time I had a nice, big enough room. It's relatively quiet on the street side, but traffic starts to move noticeably from 5 a.m. onwards.The offerings in the canteen have improved and you don't have to stay hungry in the evenings. When the weather is nice you can sit outside by the pond very comfortably.Always very crowded at lunch. The organization doesn't work. The service is very unfriendly, guests are reprimanded, trays are literally banned. There is a harsh tone between the employees. That's not appropriate, especially not in front of the guests!That was in 2022:For conferences etc. the GSI is well suited. As often described here, the meeting rooms vary in size and can be booked according to needs.The rooms are completely different. I had a tiny room with only enough space for half a closet. So I had to live out of a suitcase for three days. If you don't want this, you should avoid rooms with numbers with an A or B suffix.But there are also beautiful, large rooms in which, in addition to a bed, desk and chair, an armchair, chest of drawers and cupboard fit and you can still turn around. The bathroom there is also not only suitable for sizes smaller than 36 or S.The food in the canteen is good and the selection is plentiful. Even though there is usually only one meatless dish, you can choose from a few side dishes.In your free time you can use the fitness room in the basement or play table tennis, table football or billiards together.Of course, there are many other options in the Rheinaue.Bad Godesberg is also within walking distance.

An unbelievably awful hotel.From the first minute, we were checked into the room in a completely false category without our desire and not at the price we had booked well in advance. When I, having visited the room, asked a receptionist to change it, I was told that all the rooms in this category had already been occupied. So, my reservation was an illusion.In addition, according to the booking info, breakfasts were included in the price. Not at all. We had to pay for breakfast as well! I have never seen such a low-quality hotel at such a price.The room was stuffy, with no air conditioning and no fridge. The food in the restaurant was the same and stale, sometimes it was scary to eat it. The desserts - the same puddings every day - were stored for however long. The so-called ‘fresh’ sliced fruits were sour and even fermented. Drinks were not included in the price of lunch.Be ready that at a check-out you are disgustingly asked if you drank the tiny bottle of water you had in the room: after all, it cost 3 euros. The next question I expected during the check-out should be: “How many times did you breathe the air in the room? You know, the air in our hotel costs 50 cents a breath”.If I were a future event organizer, I would think twice before putting guests in this “dormitory”: it is a kind of disrespect to the participants of your event.The only plus: friendly staff in cleaning and the restaurant.

Rooms are very small (probably old rooms divided in two) and bathrooms without window. Meals are poor and expensive (a bottle of 75cl. Water for 6 euros!). Breakfast instead very good and rich. Hotel is far away from the centre, but well connected (20 minutes with the tram).

The rooms are reminiscent of an educational school trip in the 80s, but are fine. But then nothing more. I found the staff polite. What leads me to the negative review is the previously booked burger buffet for our group. The organization was terrible and involved long waiting times in various queues (meat somewhere other than burger buns etc). You could just decide what you wanted to eat cold, burger or side dish. There were no typical ingredients like cheese. 34.50 was already outrageous and spoiled our evening a little. Breakfast was OK. But please, please get bigger coffee cups.

Good conference venue with friendly staff and good food.But: some of the rooms are very old and worn out.A real journey back in time to the 80s: old carpet, bathroom with yellowed fittings, mattress worn out and it also smelled strange. Unfortunately it was not possible to exchange rooms.It's better to only book the renovated rooms.

I have to honestly say that the hotel is more like an upscale youth hostel.You can hear your neighbors doing almost everything. In addition, an employee (blond hair, Eastern European), who, among other things, serves dinner, is incredibly unfriendly and openly gossips about guests and treats them badly.I can't say anything against the location. It's a bit out of the way, but you know that when booking :)The garden is also nice, but nothing special. Strangers can enter the garden from outside because there is no barrier.

The hotel is close to the Rheinaue and the Rhine, two train stations are within walking distance and you can reach Bonn main station in 15 minutes, so the location and public transport connections are very good.The reception is staffed 24 hours a day and the employees are all very friendly. The inner courtyard is beautifully designed and you can sit there and have a drink, for example.The rooms, which can be described as functional, are not so nice. My single roomwas small but sufficient, the bathroom was big enough.The disadvantage was that the room was very warm in the summer as there was no air conditioning. If you ventilated, my room facing Heinemannstrasse was rather loud, or, as was the case with me, the hotel guest smoking at his room window filled my room with smoke. So I either sweated at night or was woken up by cars and/or cigarette smoke. Since there is no small refrigerator, the drinks are at room temperature at some point. My tablet didn't have enough space in my safe in the room, so I couldn't use it effectively. The light in the bathroom only came on when you were almost finished. There is carpet in the room, which I find rather unpleasant as it shows the many guests in front of me.

If you don't want to sleep, the accommodation is great...No air conditioning. Open windows? Great option if you like listening to loud conversations late into the night...It's a disgrace and disgusting!But the most entertaining thing is probably counting the number of windows that other guests close quickly...You should definitely go somewhere else to sleep. It's a shame, because the service at check-in was absolutely top.PS: The parking space listed as free costs 13 euros...

The Gustav Stresemann Institute is a great hotel in Bonn. The location to the art museums, the House of History and the city center is great. The bus stop is right outside the door. Parking spaces are available; Paid in a closed area, but also free on the street. The rooms are functionally furnished and very clean. The entire staff of the house is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet has everything! At the evening buffet you can put together your own 4-course menu. The wines offered are selected. The immediate surroundings of the house are very inviting with their green areas, games and seating areas and offer a quiet oasis as a counterpoint to the lively city.

I was a guest in this very special hotel for one night as part of a seminar. It was a wonderful stay all around. Very clean, well-kept rooms, a comfortable bed, the staff were very nice and accommodating. A special highlight is the park-like outdoor area with deck chairs, everything is very well maintained. The peace and quiet that invites you to relax. Enough parking spaces around the property. Nothing was missing at breakfast either. A very large buffet, with everything you could want. There is a great feel-good atmosphere surrounding you here in this hotel. I would love to come back.

No refrigerator in the small room, rooms not air-conditioned, the staff were friendly but sometimes clearly overwhelmed, coffee breaks during the seminar without anything else, no drinks for lunch (counter not occupied). Not really great.
