Were at this campsite not far from the A9 at the beginning of October. We were warmly welcomed by the operator and were amazed at the many sights and excursion destinations in the immediate area. We will definitely come by again, thank you for the fair price and the nice days with you.

We stopped here on our way through. OK for the night; a street can be heard, sometimes more, sometimes less. The colleague at the reception had a slight hint of alcohol and the place seemed a bit sloppy/disinterested. A small dinner and friendly contact with the operators made up for the first impression. But: Anyone who thinks €25 without electricity for two people is reasonable for this place obviously doesn't have to work for a living. Many operators of CPs should learn that those who do not need > 10L of fresh water supply and, above all, no dirty water disposal do not want to subsidize the others.

Great campsite, beautiful location, friendly campsite owners. Lots of space and never too busy. Clean toilets. My family and I have stayed here several times now and plan to stay here again in the future. 5 stars. Highly recommended!Edit: Last year we went back, and the new management is poor. Toilets with empty soap dispensers and no loo roll, yet there was a sign in every stall telling people not to wipe their butt on the toilet seat. If this was a problem, there is an obvious solution. It’s a real shame, because this campsite used to be one of our favourites. Unless something changes for the better, we will not be returning.

A very nice, simple place. Price/performance is great and very nice people. The restaurant is also worth a visit, super friendly and familiar and also a nice portion at absolutely fair prices. We'll definitely be back!

Nice place except the showers definitely need to be renovated.

We were there without a reservation (we stopped by the campsite while passing by). Very good service, fast and nice. The place itself is spacious with lots of greenery. Unfortunately, the toilets are dirty and smelly (containers). Price per night: 15 euros for two of us and a bus.

Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars, although the place itself with its terrace-like design was originally beautifully laid out and, in my opinion, still is. However, you can see everywhere that nothing has been invested and maintained for years. The condition of the showers is completely disastrous. Of the 6 shower cubicles for the ladies, only 4 are open, although one of these 4 cubicles cannot be locked. There are 3 remaining. Looking at these, it's hard to imagine that the blocked ones are in even worse condition. Some reviews say the showers are old but clean. That is not true. There is mold everywhere in the tile joints and red mold is creeping up the walls. The tiles appear to have been painted over because the paint is crumbling, and paint is also crumbling off over large areas from the walls of the cabins. Unfortunately I neglected to take photos. We have been camping about 2 months a year for over 10 years, but I have only encountered such showers once at a nature campsite in Sweden. It has to be said that the water pressure in the showers is good. The fittings here also appear to have been replaced at some point; they are more recentthe building. The bad rating is also given for the lack of service water disposal, the equally scary rooms for chemical toilet disposal and for the washing machines, especially this roomwas neglected and dirty. Garbage is piled up at the entrance to the tent meadow and there is no provision for waste separation. The fact that it still has 2 stars is due to the generally beautifully laid out place, the friendliness of the manager/tenant, who has only been there since this year, and his obviously good will. But it won't work without extensive investment. Surely everyone would be happy to pay €5 more if the sanitary and disposal facilities were up to date. One last word at the end: When looking through the reviews, I get the impression that the negative ones are deleted and the positive ones are partly not real. Too bad.

Beer garden at the Betzenstein campsite (Felsenstüberl). The schnitzel with fries and salad is highly recommended - lovingly prepared - and you can sit comfortably in the evening sun.

A spacious tent meadow where, despite being well occupied, there was still a nice spot. Seating and storage options available. Very friendly welcome, nice beer garden and very reasonably priced at 10 euros. However, the container solution was marginal when it came to sanitary facilities. Not really dirty, but cramped, worn out and not really inviting. Therefore only 4 scenes for the otherwise beautiful CP.
