Our wedding there couldn't have been more beautiful.Once again a huge thank you to the hotel and the whole team. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic and the ambience was incredibly beautiful. The children could play there and watch the animals.The rooms were also very nice and clean.During the celebration everyone was always courteous and friendly. We and all the guests were thrilled. We can recommend this restaurant 100%.

A longer stay gives you a good overall impression of the hotel, both positive and negative.First of all: Location a little outside is nice, but depending on the room location you can hear the street. Very friendly and mostly competent staff. Rooms outdated and not up to date.The name of the country hotel says it all. A little outside in nature, but right on a road. (The location motivated me to move from the city hotels "to the country".) Since the hotel has a long history, it is unfortunately very old-fashioned and functionally furnished. And a very noisy building.(some letters are outdated or useful)Unfortunately, the fact is that it is not country furniture, as we know it from Lower Bavaria or Austria and would expect from the name “country hotel”. As a result, the air quality in the rooms, with carpeted floors, is not the best. (just old cupboard and old single beds pushed together). The bathrooms were renovated at some point, but are no longer up to date. But yes, very spacious and a separate toilet area. Ventilation OKWhat is absolutely no longer up to date: the hotel remote control for the older flat screen television, only volume and program can be selected.(constant searching is very annoying when you spend a quiet evening in your room)And unfortunately there is only one seat at the old bureau, at an angle to the non-swivel television. Very uncomfortable to sit on the bed.What is very positive is the environmentally conscious idea for room cleaning:If you do not want cleaning, simply hang the jute bag from the hotel folder in the room in front of the door, then you will receive something small, "sweet" as a thank you every day for not cleaning. Good idea!Also very friendly and mostly competent staff, except for a few younger employees. The experience is simply missing. But that's what you expect in a 4* hotel!Breakfast was plentiful for the price, but little variety, e.g. no fruit quark available.But partly fresh fruit + small. Desserts.Due to large tour groups or events, it can get a little louder.Breakfast/eating area is very dignified, almost like a “knight's hall”. The selection and quality of the food at dinner was only average. There's not enough on offer here for the prices. As I said, in a 4* hotel with an “upscale restaurant”.From the residential building you have to walk a short distance across an open area to the restaurant, even in bad weather.Conclusion: Hotel recommended with small drawbacks. Rural area, but not absolute peace. Everyone has to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages at their own discretion. You won't find any other "social spaces" here, such as saunas, wellness, fitness, etc.A simple country hotel... that should be fundamentally modernized.

Absolutely greatIt's been 3 months, but we still look back fondly on my husband's 70th birthday party at the Landhotel Alte Fliegerschule.It was a wonderful evening that we were able to enjoy with our guests. Everything went like clockwork. All agreements made were implemented 100%. From the table decorations to an additional reservation outside to an amazing buffet tailored to our wishes and not forgetting the friendly and quick service. A big thank you to Ms. Felsberg and her team for pampering us and our guests.

A great hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and tries hard to please everyone. The training rooms are sufficient and physical well-being is well taken care of. The food was always very, very good.The rooms are completely OK and clean.Definitely a recommendation.

We spontaneously stayed here one night at the weekend.I was very positively surprised.The staff was super friendly, breakfast was extremely plentiful and the surroundings were great.You could reserve a table for dinner, which was also very tasty.Highly recommended, we will definitely come back again for a longer stay.

I used the hotel as accommodation to visit my mother, who suffers from dementia, on her birthday. Since these visits are personally stressful, I always prefer accommodation away from the hustle and bustle. So I “tried out” this hotel for the first time. However, the room was very small and dated. I couldn't understand the 4* classification here. Many reviews have already criticized the charging of a parking fee for the hotel parking lot of €4/day. If you look at the location of the hotel, it is not strategically understandable why this is done here instead of including the parking lot, since a large proportion of the guests, apart from perhaps bus tour groups, arrive by car. So you have to park there, there is no other option. It's all the more annoying when you get back to the hotel at 10 p.m. and find that there's a big party or family celebration in the restaurant with loud music and the entire parking lot in front of the hotel is full. I had to work my way through the party guests and tried to clarify with an employee where I could park. But he couldn't understand me because of the incredibly loud music. At the reception I met an employee who showed me a parking space below the building. So I parked the car there and sprinted through the pouring rain to the hotel. I certainly don't have to mention that parking fees apply here too. What I found much worse, however, was the loudness of this celebration. The hotel advertises this sentence on its homepage. "In the country and golf hotel you will have a peaceful and restful sleep in green surroundings." I definitely didn't have that!!! The thumping of the bass reverberated through the entire building, which was basically already very noisy. Around 10:45 p.m. I tried to get at least a little sleep with ear plugs, but despite the stuffy air in the small room with the windows closed, because then even ear plugs wouldn't have been of any use in muffling the loud music.The party certainly lasted quite a long time, so that in the morning you had to walk over a sticky, partly only roughly cleaned floor in the breakfast room. There were still “witnesses to the party” under the tables and in the corners everywhere. You'll probably just have to shoo shoo with the broom.The hotel should and must in my opinion point out on the homepage that such parties do take place and that you don't always get the quiet and restful sleep that is advertised and expected in a country hotel away from the city. This is misleading and unacceptable.I would certainly have slept more peacefully and comfortably in a hotel in downtown Eisenach or a motorway motel.A complaint to Booking, including a request for compensation, is already on the way.

We hosted a party with friends and were given the facility/location a little above the hotel, fantastic, everything was redesigned, enough space with a sun terrace. Food was supplied by the hotel, was unusual and refined, as were all the drinks.The service was always 121% there for the guests - fantastic, very good.I can only recommend something like this - thank you -

In principle it is a nice facility and the breakfast room/restaurant is really impressive and the food there was good. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the hotel to dog owners due to the categorization of the guests. Our room was livable and noticeably getting old, the mattresses were very soft and the bathroom definitely needed new joints in the wet area!This results for me:3 stars for the room because it is functional but in need of renovation4 stars for the breakfast staff because they were simply great4 stars for the location as the nearest motorway connection is convenient.However, we don't come here anymore because 4 stars don't look like that.

I was in the house for two weeks for work. Due to two OFF days (Saturday and Sunday) during the event, I informed two ladies, each at an independent time, that I would be arriving on Sunday after 10 p.m. Since this house doesn't have a key safe, I was assured by both employees at the reception that the room key would be left in the room (so I'll get the same room again after the weekend off), saying it's no problem at all . As far as the theory...When I arrived on Sunday evening, the door to the room was locked and no one could be reached by phone.After a night in the car, I contacted the lady at the front desk at 6:00 a.m.They assured me that they would take care of the process. I was told that there is normally call forwarding, but this was not activated. The fact is that after this process I have not even received an apology from the company in any form.For my taste, this is absolutely classic and has nothing to do with customer orientation!!
