Had a fantastic week in this beautiful Gasthaus. We received a very warm welcome from Alexandra and Albert. Alexandra gave us some good walking tips. The breakfast is very good and definitely recommended. Our room was clean. The location of the Gasthaus is great, it is within walking distance of the center of Simonswald and the swimming pool, also in beautiful surroundings.Thanks Alexandra and Albert!Liebe Grüße, Jeroen und Fleur

I called to book a room. The lady on the phone was very rude, told me that I called too late and dropped the phone. Very unprofessional and unfriendly behavior for a hostess... Too bad, we will never call here again.

My wife dropped the shower head on her neck because the holder broke off. When we mentioned this during checkout, the owner completely freaked out and charged 50 euros for this plastic holder. Owners are choleric beware!

During our trip to the amusement park “Europa Park” in Rust, we stayed in Gasthaus Ratsstüble. We received a very warm welcome from Alexandra. A super friendly hostess who immediately makes you feel welcome. She speaks very good English. She also has a lot of knowledge of the area and gives good tips about what to do in the area. She really wants to think along with you.We stayed in room 7 with a balcony, where we had a beautiful view! Rooms were clean and equipped with all amenities. A bit dated, like many in the area.Breakfast was prepared every morning. There was plenty of choice. The same breakfast every day.The guest house has an excellent location for things to do in the area. You will also receive a card to travel for free on public transport with two people during your stay. Ideal!All in all we had a great stay.

“At home with strangers” is how we felt!We had very nice days/nights in the Ratsstüble, everything is super clean and beautifully furnished and the landlady Alexandra was incredibly attentive and helpful and gave us great tips for our excursions.There is something for everyone at the breakfast buffet and every wish was fulfilled.We can highly recommend the house to everyone.

Great hosts : very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.
Clean and comfortable space with a lovely view of the surrounding Schwarzwald.

I had several booking requests for just one night for a hike. Simonswald and the surrounding area are definitely recommended and I will definitely come again. But the Ratsstüble's reaction will certainly not prompt me to ask there again. No thanks for your interest, unfortunately occupied, nice stay, or anything similar. Instead 2 words: “not possible”There is definitely no way to evaluate it anymore. What a shame!

Great location! Breakfast is delicious.Friendly welcome from Alexandra and Allbert, good service.Rooms are well furnished and clean, good beds, nice bathroom with shower, terrace with nice views.A 10-minute walk from the center with a very good restaurant (Krone Post).A bakery a 10-minute walk to the center.Peaceful surroundings and definitely worth it.Many attractions in the area (Freiburg, Feldberg, Triberg, Titisee, Schluchsee).

Gasthaus Ratsstüble is highly recommended! We have been coming here every year for our holidays for 7 years. Alexandra is a very good and sweet hostess who will give you a warm welcome upon arrival. The breakfast is delicious and Albert bakes delicious eggs. The rooms are beautiful and above all very clean! The Gasthaus is within walking distance of the village where there are restaurants, a bakery and a supermarket. From the Gasthaus you can walk beautiful hiking trails. Where you can enjoy beautiful views, the peace and quiet and the beautiful nature of the Black Forest.

We spent a long weekend in the Simonswälder Tal and were guests at the Ratsstübli from October 9th, 2020 to October 12th, 2020. The reception from the boss was very warm and friendly. Everything was explained to us calmly, including the local excursion destinations. The house is very simple but everything you need is there. If you don't value big frills, you're in good hands here. The room was very clean and equipped with everything you needed. We had a deluxe room with a large balcony (mountain view) and great armchairs. The only small negative point was that the bathroom was very small, but everything was there. I'm almost 2 meters tall, so it was a bit borderline. But for 3 nights it was fine. Due to Corona, breakfast was served at the table. In the evening you could fill out a list of the things you wanted. In the morning everything was ready, even fried eggs or scrambled eggs. The breakfast was really delicious. In the hallway there is a refrigerator with various non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle to make tea. Schnapps were also available. So all in all very nice. We really enjoyed the stay and the PEACE. The location is really fantastic. I can really recommend the Ratsstübli without hesitation.
