We were at the castle for the first time for the Halloween party and all I can say is WOW. Every corner of the old walls was decorated and spooky music added to the atmosphere in the restaurant. The employees really worked hard, both when serving, in the horror course and later at the party in the vaulted cellar. A unique location with great attention to detail. Not exactly cheap, but it's all worth it. We'll definitely be back

We booked a “castle night of dreams” and what can we say, it was really worth it. Castle tour, dinner, overnight stay and breakfast the next morning were all included. It's something special to get to know this castle in more detail and experience its centuries-old history up close. This certainly included the “four-poster bed” in our room, but the size takes some getting used to for people today. But that was also known in advance and we agreed to it.Particularly worth mentioning is the castle guide in the "old robe", who actually lives in Kassel and works at Ikea. So much historical knowledge and the ability to convey it, with the greatest respect. The cuisine was excellent, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the historic dining room, many thanks to the master chef. The two highly professional waitresses in the evening (one is a top graduate of a Göttingen high school, one is a high school student in the 11th grade) must have it in their blood how to pamper guests. It simply couldn't be better: polite, guest-oriented, responsive to special requests and then also very charming in dealing with the guests, many thanks again to Maja and Johannes.Mr. Schlossherr, you definitely have to keep it (perhaps with a small special bonus?).The lady who served us breakfast in the morning was also very friendly and attentive, also a big thank you.Overall, we felt very comfortable at Berlepsch Castle and will recommend the “Castle Night of Dreams” to our friends.

There were two of us in the castle and we had booked a guided tour followed by a romantic castle candlelight dinner and overnight stay. The tour was super interesting, you saw a lot and learned a lot about the Berlepsch family. The candlelight dinner exceeded all expectations. There was a 4-course surprise menu and every course was a culinary highlight. The overnight stay in the Countess Mareta room was very authentic in a beautiful bay window room with medieval charm. The breakfast was "royal" with home-baked bread and plenty of delicacies, so there was something for everyone. The Countess and the Count are both very, very friendly, as are the entire staff.
