Unfortunately, we cannot agree with the numerous positive reviews. To start with positive aspects, we would like to highlight the location and the interior design in the restaurant, which is very tasteful. However, this did not reach our room. It is getting very old, which can be clearly seen in both the armchair and the skylight (see pictures). The toilet door is made of glass and has a film as a privacy screen. Unfortunately, the film was installed in such a way that you can't see out of the bathroom when the light is on, but you can still see in.When we arrived at the hotel (around 2 p.m. - although we had a journey of almost 7 hours) the room was not yet ready for occupancy. This fact itself is not a problem, but instead of offering us something like "feel free to sit here in our lounge area/use the wellness area/etc." we were simply left standing. After asking how far it was to Kühlungsborn, the only answer I got was "not far, but given the weather I would think about it."The wellness area is also getting old. The air in the pool room is so oppressive, stuffy and full of chlorine that it is difficult to endure. In addition, the saunas are only activated from 4 p.m. Of the two available, only one worked, even though there were enough guests in the area. Since the saunas are quite small, you sat staggered like in a chicken coop. For a hotel that explicitly advertises this area, this is very sobering. We were also more than irritated at dinner. The first two evenings we were only served the wine list. After asking whether we could also get a normal drinks menu, we were told "what's wrong with wine?". Okay...The lady behind the bar, who served part of the time, left her headphones in and when you were ready for the menu to start you were told “happie now”? asked. All in all, not recommended for the price.

The hotel is comfortably furnished. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the location is very quiet. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The dinner is really delicious! All dishes come warm and freshly prepared. Sauna and pool are available and also fine. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.Overall, the hotel makes a nice impression and we had a lovely stay!

We stayed there for one night with our four year old for my birthday. The hotel is in an incredibly beautiful location and looks impressive from the outside. Here you can see the attention to detail everywhere. We also liked the fact that it is not in the "hustle and bustle" of Kühlungsborn but rather a little (3km) away. This way you have peace and quiet from all the other holidaymakers. We had the junior suite, which was very, very spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed was fantastic, that was also advertised in the offer, we can only confirm that. Really great for a hotel bed, the whole atmosphere in the hotel was friendly, everything was clean and well maintained, in new condition. The swimming pool was good, big enough to splash around in, everything was clean and tidy here too. The breakfast was really one of a kind, very fresh and here again you could see that you were putting some thought into it, a very nice facility, including the outdoor area. Only one of the saunas was not in use. Since the other one was occupied, I wanted to switch to the one on the left, but unfortunately that didn't work. I could certainly have asked the staff, but it wasn't that important to me. So, everything is really right here, if we wanted to go to Kühlungsborn again, we would just sleep here!

Attention dog owners should be careful here. Please do not fall for the prices for dogs, questions or reviews from hotel guests.Every hotel guest should inquire and negotiate the price for the dog's overnight stay before booking to avoid any surprises. On various travel provider portals, overnight stays are quoted at 10-25 euros. Now an overnight stay with a small dog costs 30 euros and cancellation is not accepted. No accommodating, preferring to accept a bad review. It's not about the money, I just don't want to support these exorbitant prices. At some point the price increase has to come to an end.

When booking we were very enthusiastic about this hotel. It looked beautiful in the photos and it seemed that way when we arrived. The welcome was very warm and all the staff are friendly. We had a large room. It was very hot and there was no way to cool it, because the sun was on our window all afternoon. The bed was fine. The bathroom very dated. Mediocre shower. In terms of pricing, you would expect to find a mini fridge and coffee or tea making facilities in your room, but there were none. The swimming pool has also seen its best days. The door barely opened (stuck), the pool was a mess of old exercise bikes. The door to the outside was in a dilapidated condition and had not been opened for some time and the sunbathing area looked as if it had not been touched for some time. Grass was yellow and chairs dirty, old and worn. As well as a playground where all equipment was broken. We had a good meal there in the evening. Simple, wasn't worth the price we paid for it. Guests who arrived after half past eight were out of luck. Even though the kitchen closes at 9 p.m., the cook had already gone home. I understand that the guests were angry about this. Breakfast was perfect. The hotel is already quite pricey and to my surprise we also had to pay 5 euros per day for parking. Paying to park at a hotel seems to be becoming a new revenue model and is not really indicated on the websites. We left with a not so good feeling. A shame, because it is located a short distance from the nice seaside resort of Kühlungsborn. The sign at the reception: Expensive???? Don't think about it, just quickly swipe your debit card, you hit the nail on the head...
