My partner and I spent two nights at the Schillingshof over the long Halloween weekend. First the positive aspects - the location of the hotel is excellent, especially for short hiking tours. The Hörnlebahn is right around the corner, which takes you comfortably to the Hörnlehütte. Alternatively, a 1.5-hour hiking trail leads to the top, which offers fantastic views in good weather.About the hotel itself: The restaurant, the wellness area and the bathrooms in the rooms look newly renovated and modern. My partner also found the massages offered to be very good.Now to the points where there is room for improvement. Both the wellness area and the restaurant are very overcrowded at peak times, which unfortunately creates an oppressive and not very relaxing atmosphere. The service often seemed overwhelmed and mostly in a bad mood. The low point of our stay, however, was a bug (about 20 cents in size) in the food. Of course, something like this can happen, but unfortunately the way it was handled was completely inappropriate. The service only responded with a mischievous smile and a shrug of the shoulders, and our feedback was hardly taken seriously at check-out.Overall, we had a nice break, but this was mainly due to the weather on the first day of hiking. Given the room price was over €200 per night, I was hoping for better value for money.

I visited the hotel in connection with a seminar. The hotel is very nice, the staff are without exception nice and accommodating, the food is varied and very good. The wellness area is great. The seminar room was very good for the size of the seminar, with a balcony for bio breaks in the fresh air. The Hörnle runs directly opposite-Bahn, which you should definitely use when you are there. All in all a nice experience at the Hotel Schillingshof. Definitely recommended.

There were 80 people there, there was a day of arrivalSolo entertainer booked, but the manager canceled the performance at around 10.30 p.m. and the good atmosphere was "destroyed", something like that doesn't work! If tour groups are accepted (with music), you have to assume that it will be late. (It's good for sales). The food on Saturday (was served, standard meal) wasn't great. Even our musicians had to stop at midnight on Saturday 😜

First the positive. The rooms are neat, modern and clean. The food was OK too.We were there with a group of 88 people and had booked music for both of our evenings. On Friday evening, when the guests were in a great mood, the hotel management said at 10:30 p.m. that it was over.Our guests were cashed in and more or less thrown out.On Saturday we played ourselves. It was contractually agreed that we were allowed to play until midnight. To avoid the inevitable trouble, we stopped playing at 11:45 p.m. As we were leaving the stage the head waiter came up to me and said I still had 10 minutes. I also didn't get the drink that I had ordered 15 minutes earlier.The serving staff around was very helpful. However, the show that the head waiter put on was subterranean.The management didn't seem very cooperative either.My recommendation: Not recommended for larger groups. Unfortunately you are just being ripped off. It's a shame, because everything around it is actually quite OK.We won't be coming back again.

Yesterday Travador advertised a great deal for this hotel. Since we are traveling with a baby, we called the hotel to check the availability of baby beds. The somewhat gruff FO employee informed me that a baby bed costs €38.00 per night!!!!!Sorry, that doesn't work at all! If children are not desired, hotels should have the Adults Only add-on!We will book in another hotel.

Very bad dining experience, the restaurant manager does not care about the guest's feelings at all. The food was well seasoned, but the rice was overcooked. For those of us who grew up eating rice, it was really unacceptable.

Very bad experience. It feels like there is discrimination against Asians or tour groups. The person in charge of the counter (a middle-aged woman) yelled at the tour group leader and asked the tour leader in a disdainful tone, are you sure they can speak English? Dining in a conference room-like venue is very simple. The waiters are not trained enough. When meeting face to face, they do not know how to be polite to the guests first. The room is old and the cups given are one big and one small. Very bad experience. I don’t know why it still gets some good reviews

I stayed at the hotel with my wife for a few days at the beginning of September. The room with a balcony and a beautiful view. The new bathroom with shower was very clean and the price was absolutely A1. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. Everything was very nice. the fresh rolls and coffee from the CH machine, what more could you want. We had 3 x dinners à la carte which were very tasty and absolutely great in terms of price. Very friendly staff, we can only recommend the hotel. We would be happy to come back.

We had a wonderful stay. Reception, service and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The only thing that is a bit cramped is showering in the bathtub. The food is visually and tastefully excellent and there is something for everyone, including vegetarian/vegan. Wellness area and relaxation room with sauna and pool were also clean and very quiet during our stay. Sometimes we were there alone. The hotel bar is very cozy and has a great selection of wine, beer and local schnapps. The hotel has many rooms and also accommodates coach tour groups. While we were there, 3 buses arrived. But that wasn't a problem either and we didn't find it annoying, just because the hotel is quite large and spacious and has several meeting rooms, etc. The location of the hotel is ideal for hikers/cyclists. Hörnlebahn e.g. B directly opposite.

I have rarely seen such a tastefully decorated hotel. We felt at home as soon as we arrived, which was certainly due to the friendly welcome. We had a double room on the 2nd floor with a great valley view. In the evening we ate in the restaurant. The food was delicious and varied, the service staff attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet in the morning is also recommended. The hotel and the surrounding area offer everything you need to spend a relaxing holiday. We'll definitely be back!

2024.09.04 Traveled with a group. The hotel itself is very beautiful, but some rooms are a bit too old. The door of the balcony room is broken and cannot be opened, and the door lock is jammed. I almost locked myself in the room, but the lawn behind the hotel can be seen The scenery is beautiful when we go out~

We spent a weekend there and it certainly won't be the last time. Super cute hotel, very attentive and nice staff, rooms invitingly bright and above all clean!! Great location with lots of leisure options.The wellness area is also cute and modern.There was also plenty of choice for vegetarians and dishes that changed daily.It tasted very good.Also the bar, modern and cozy..Great service! All in all, I'd be happy to come again at any time :)

Thank you for this wonderful short vacation. We really enjoyed our 5 days with you.The rooms are very nice and above all very clean.The food was simply fantastic and my partner's special requests regarding intolerances were always taken into account and implemented perfectly. Thanks.The staff must also be mentioned. From the first to the last minute we were well looked after. The employees were always friendly, courteous and we were always helped if we had any questions.For us it is clear:The Schillingshof sees us again.
