The navigation system said we had arrived, first we drove past the entrance, but then we found the parking spaces/entrance.In order to get to the parking spaces we would have to drive up a very narrow and blocked-up driveway. When we arrived at the hotel we received a very friendly welcome, greeted us very friendly, chatted and asked how to get there...There is an elevator inside the hotel, the specialist told us we could take number 1 to the reception. When we got out of the elevator, we were surprised to see a staircase with about 10-15 steps in front of us.so NOT suitable for wheelchairsRegistration: we were brought to our room and were surprised it was a nice, bright room with a balcony, small kitchen and toilet (see photo)There were 3 steps to the balcony, which wasn't very practical for us as a family with small children. But not too bad...,•Breakfast at Meal by the Sea.Our stay at the hotel gave us breakfast here at "Meal by the Sea"Since we love breakfast and always find it great to be surprised, we were excited to see what awaited us.The reception was a 3/5 she was nice and friendly but you could tell she didn't feel like being there.Breakfast buffet (pictures available)Small but stylishly decoratedThe first overview/taste.•Unfortunately, the fruit wasn't really clean or washed, but this was changed immediately after speaking to the staff (washed, replaced)•There were several different types of yogurt and quark•Can also be used in various things from cheese to salmon.•There were 3 different types of cereal•A big disappointment for us was the scrambled eggs with bacon that we loved so muchThis was a mass of what felt like 200 strips of bacon put together in a warming dish, which somewhat curbed the appetite for crispy strips of bacon.Tip: I would think it would be nicer if there were just a few lying in there getting a tan, it looks more appetizing and inviting. For scrambled eggs:Pour scrambled eggs into a large warming dish.Partly not throughpartly raw,we pointed it out and nothing happened...On the last day the scrambled eggs were great, again the dimensions but through and tasty other things. (Different staff)The reception on the last day was completely different: we had different staff at firstWelcomed with a smile and friendly greetingsComments or complaints were implemented and as a thank you the coffee (latte) was replaced. She said that they were sorry and wanted to apologize with the drink and thank them for their attention.

A well-run, small hotel. Our double room with a small balcony facing the sea was very well maintained and comfortable. Everything was as described in the booking. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. …

First impression from the outside -> old house, but afterwards: from the outside everything is clean and 100% in condition. Inside everything is clean, no creaking steps or floorboards. Everything clean and in great condition. The rooms even have a small kitchenette, great. The staff is simply great, everyone is nice and no one walks around with a (face). Very obliging. The breakfast and everything it includes is excellent. And again clean, nice and tasty. If an old building doesn't put you off, you can 100% recommend these rooms.

Room was good. Had a beautiful view of the North Sea and the center. The balcony could have been larger. Nicely located, close to everything. Breakfast was okay, the only thing I was missing was brown bread. There was plenty to suit every taste
