Very nicely located, almost directly on the lake. The rooms are big enough, the bathroom was a bit narrow but sufficient. We used our balcony in the evening, which was also enough for two people to sit on. The stairs are a right arrow, I suspect that people who are not that good on foot may have to struggle a bit here.

Next time you make a reservation, please check beforehand whether the room is cleanI've never seen it so dusty anywhere. Thank God it was only one night.

An excellent hotel, owner-managed and beautifully designed. Individual wishes were taken into account at breakfast. All organic goods. Very nice team. The rooms were clean and nice. Located directly on Lake Ammersee. Highly recommended!!

We stayed here overnight so that we could be at the boat inspection first thing in the morning. The location of the hotel is great - right on the lake and within walking distance of the train station and some restaurants. The welcome was very warm. We had the suite and therefore enough space to study. The room was tastefully decorated but the cleanliness could definitely be improved. A chest of drawers was full of crumbs and the floor wasn't cleaned properly. Unfortunately, we had the misfortune that other guests were very loud half the night, which is why we were only able to sleep for a few hours. Of course the hotel can't do anything about that. But that was really a problem for us in this situation.The breakfast was excellent and I wish I had had a little more time to enjoy it. The staff is consistently very warm. The cakes and coffee were excellent.

We weren't guests of the hotel, just in the cafe. Because the staff was absent due to illness, the selection of cakes was not as usual. Otherwise quite nice. Priced a little higher.

Small, pretty, tastefully furnished, privately run hotel with small, cozy rooms.But:The big drawback during our stay was the service at breakfast. With two small children, I can't wait over half an hour for an order to be fulfilled. Especially not if the argument is walk-in customers. After all, we were “planable” hotel guests.In the lowboard of the room there was used underwear from previous visitors.

Actually it's more of a pastry shop with guest rooms. Our room is equipped with the bare essentials, the bathroom is extremely small, there is no storage space for toiletry bags etc. The sink is as small as in a guest toilet. No closet, just an old chest of drawers. Bed good. However, there is no cleaning during the stay, towels only changed on request. So you have the stones, crumbs and other things on your feet and then feel miserable in bed. Not nice. Breakfast is served, is fresh and sufficient. Fresh O juice 4.50 € extra is too much. You probably pay for the proximity to the lake, 3 minutes on foot. Small balcony but not clean, full of cobwebs OK for 2 days but otherwise too expensive for what it is. No parking. I'm surprised at the many 5 star reviews, maybe the rooms are very different

There is a park next to the hotel, and the scenery is very pleasant. There is also a public parking lot next to the hotel, which is free from Monday to Friday. There are many restaurants nearby, as well as some small historical sculptures. The reception staff were very amiable, and there was a little girl who was only a few years old who enthusiastically guided me. The feeling of the whole room reminded me of my stay at my grandma's house when I was a child.

I'm on business for a few days at Ammersee and stayed at the Hotel Goldammer. The hotel offers beautifully furnished, clean rooms in a very stylishly furnished house right on the lake.The breakfast is of very high quality and delicious.The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.You can park in the P+R car park at the train station, a 2-minute walk away.There are shops and restaurants in the nearby area.The hotel is located in a traffic-calmed area where there are almost no cars in the evening. Therefore I was able to sleep very well with the window open.Recommended at any time.

Rooms small, simple and clean, bathroom spacious. Room above the pastry shop with a view of the lake. Arrival on Sunday, short-term parking in front of the house and shortly after eight in the morning I got a ticket because I forgot my parking disc. Price for 95 euros just stands for Ammersee.

In beautiful Dießen am Ammersee, right down by the train station and near the water, sits the Café Goldammer, extremely popular with art-loving weekend trippers from Munich and the surrounding area, which is not so far away.And the attached hotel with its oak and brass chic seems to be aimed entirely at this audience. In my opinion, especially in terms of price, because unfortunately we as guests got very little for our money.Anonymous check-in via key safe (if it works), no room cleaning available, neither a kettle for warm tea on a winter evening, nor a few personal information or even a tiny bedtime treat from the in-house pastry shop.The organic breakfast, which is very good in itself, is divided into the included standard selection and more select additions at an additional charge. You can do it.All of this, mind you, considering the price for an overnight stay in the so-called suite is €155 per night!Given all the rave reviews, hardly any guests seem to be bothered by this business model. Is it due to the (too) well-off audience that perhaps occasionally confuses appearance and reality, or are disturbing thoughts mercifully sweetened by plenty of sugar in delicious cakes?Well, I prefer it more classic and like personal contact and service and recommend alternative places to stay and make a reservation for coffee and cake here. A small, newly renovated, very clean hotel above a café, with fantastic lake views. Fantastically suitable for short breaks and business trips, as it is only a few minutes' walk from the small Dießen train station. The staff is very friendly and uncomplicated. The breakfast in the café, including service, was really excellent. (My stay 11/2022)

Beautiful rooms, very lovingly furnished. Great mattresses and what was a surprise for us were the pillows, me and my daughter always take our own, but the ones we have are perfect. Bathroom very large and good lighting. Cleanliness couldn't be better, shower gel, hair shampoo available. Breakfast is served, a large selection of egg dishes, spreads, various rolls and much more. Extremely good cafe. We'll definitely be back next year. A short vacation where we felt completely at home and were pampered with culinary delights by the service and kitchen team. The 2 ladies from Austria say thank you to everyone, the entire team.
