The accommodation is wonderfully centrally located, we had booked one night in the Mansion because we had booked a whiskey tasting in the Kyrburg. This was reachable on foot in 15 minutes. The old town is also very easy to reach on foot. The hosts gave us a very warm welcome, the rooms were nicely furnished and more than sufficient for our purposes. The decoration is all about whiskey and Scotland, so the theme is wonderfully fitting. The breakfast was very rich and there was nothing missing here. The atmosphere at breakfast was very relaxed. All in all, a great price-performance ratio and I can absolutely recommend the accommodation.

Very nice guesthouse, everything was super clean and well maintained. You will be greeted warmly and yes, you can also enjoy a whiskey or two there. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and can certainly keep up with a 4-star hotel.I have been there several times myself to go to Kirnburg for a whiskey tasting. The hosts kindly gave us a free ride to the tasting.Highly Recommended

Perfect accommodation in Kirn if you go to the Kyrburg for a tasting or meal with whiskey tasting. The friendly operators of the B&B also drive you up to the castle.

In addition to the whiskey tasting at the Kyrburg, my wife and I booked a room with Mr. Franzmann. The room was amazing, more like a small apartment. Three rooms that flow into each other plus a huge bathroom. Everything was well furnished. Breakfast was awesome! A real recommendation! It's a shame we were only there one night.

Highly recommended, Mr. Franzmann is a perfect, friendly host, the breakfast is a revelation that deserves 5 stars. The rooms were absolutely clean and nicely done. Overall, the stay for my sons and I was perfect.👍👍👌

!!!Host to break the habit!!!The hotel was completely empty and as we discovered, there was a reason for that. The host is so unfriendly that you don't even know what to answer. Someone here seems to no longer need it. We have been coming to Mr. Franzmann's whiskey tasting every year for 13 years but will certainly never again.

Only had one night stay in room 11, Johnny Walker room.Very nice room, is actually a double room! Very spacious, clean and well maintained. Large separate bathroom. Everything functional.The guest house is quiet and has its own charm. Makes an extremely well-kept and clean impression.The topic of whiskey is of course omnipresent.The breakfast is good for a guesthouse.The breakfast time could be a little longer, at the moment only from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.I can only recommend the guest house!
