Stayed at the hotel on business. It is advertised as a “cinema hotel”. But if you're expecting an old cinema or even a themed hotel, you'll be disappointed. There is old equipment lying around here and there that comes from old cinemas. Basically collector's items like old cameras, pictures of actors, here an old row of cinema seats, there an old film etc. The hotel itself has slipped far past the topic of "cinema". The idea may be good, but the implementation is rather lame.The rooms are ok, nothing special. A bit old-fashioned, hardly any charm. Very, very loud on the street side. The heaters are equipped with modern, digital thermostats, which are not practical to operate. If you're unlucky, you'll always have cold rooms and bathrooms in the winter. This is what happened to me and a colleague...Sufficient parking spaces and general transport connections are positive. Hairdresser, bank, supermarket, pharmacy and everything your heart desires is within walking distance.The staff seemed overwhelmed at times. One or two employees didn't even think it was necessary to greet their guests.The breakfast is ok. Nothing special. To our dismay, the scrambled eggs were too salty every day. All in all a normal 3 star breakfast. Don't expect miracles here.Everything is acceptable for a transit of one or two nights. I can only advise against this hotel for a vacation or for relaxation.

Yesterday we had dinner at the Hotel Meyer and then went to the cinema. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was very attentive, friendly and took all orders including changes without any aids (paper or similar). The menu is varied and actually offers something for everyone. The cinema is simply great, clean, good acoustics and also with attentive service. Simply class

I am lucky enough to be a guest more often.The rooms are beautifully and lovingly designed and always very clean.Parking in front of the house, a rich breakfast, a good kitchen…What should be particularly mentioned is the service, whether at the reception or in the restaurant, the employees are more than friendly and incredibly helpful.I have rarely been to a hotel where you can feel so at home.thank you very much

We were in town at the weekend for a family celebration.Unfriendly reception, the way to the room was explained succinctly, not a word about having to take the elevator to the 4th floor.The room was similar to a storage room, very small. It wasn't a double bed that we had booked, but a sofa bed that I had trouble getting over because of the border. There was no wardrobe, a kind of chest of drawers. If you wanted to hang up your pants, she would sleep on the closet floor.It wasn't our first time in the hotel but it was our last time.

We are on the bus with 45 people and it is a little different than if you travel here privately, but the hotel is good, the food and breakfast is good and the staff is also friendly, we like it, there are also elevators and parking spaces.

We arrived as a married couple and stayed 3 nights with breakfast. We paid in advance with PayPal.The room was on one of the upper floors. You could reach it by elevator or on foot using the stairs. The room was clean. We had a bathtub for showering. There was a small hallway with a closet. Our view was of the courtyard. There was a tablet in the room with excursion destinations. The Kino-Hotel Meyer also has a cinema and a restaurant. It is better to reserve a table at the restaurant for dinner.Gluten-free bread was available upon reservation in advance. The breakfast was buffet style with sweet and savory options. There was free parking at the hotel or free parking nearby. Check-in and check-out was easy. The staff was friendly. Thank you at this point for the tip: Park in Finkenwerder and use the ferry with a day ticket to Hamburg.Conclusion: We liked it. We'd love to come back.
