Actually, I would have preferred to give it a "good" rating, which unfortunately doesn't exist. The country inn is located in Burgbrohl-Weiler in the volcanic Eifel. The location is, if you look at the circumstances, central, but you definitely need a car! There are enough parking spaces.The country inn is comfortable, but you can tell its age. Everything is a bit run down, but absolutely clean! The innkeeper, Ms. Rothbrust, is very friendly and happy to provide information about the leisure opportunities in the area. A definite plus is the dining flexibility: my partner is a vegetarian and there isn't a single vegetarian dish on the in-house menu (like most restaurants in the area)! But it wasn't a problem at all, and the kitchen specially prepared a vegetarian sliced meat, which was absolutely valuable and delicious. An absolute highlight, if you are otherwise always referred to the salad menu with a helpless look!In the country inn you can sit outside under a nice roof. Our room was big enough and had a nice balcony. It was also nice that there was no carpet in the room. The beds are comfortable and we slept well.The regular clientele, including that of the restaurant, tends to be from the older generation. But there are also motorcyclists who are passing through.Overall we felt we were in good hands. Anyone who likes the Eifel can find good accommodation here!

Strawberries are red, vanilla ice cream is white, the schnitzel was not only delicious but also hot. No, joking aside, I haven't eaten this well in a very long time. The service was very friendly, the food was freshly prepared and not just warmed up, there was a small salad beforehand, and a good view too! Highly recommended after a (long) day of hiking!

We ended up here by chance on our first day of vacation and since the children were hungry and there was no alternative in town, we ate here.At first it didn't go down well that we wanted to eat with the children in the back of the restaurant instead of at the front where all the other guests were sitting. However, there was smoking there and that is an absolute no-go with children!We were positively surprised by the food, the schnitzels were very good, only the fried potatoes were very oily. Price-performance is ok, but we wouldn't eat here more often.
