Nice little hotel in a very good location. The breakfast was very good and the price-performance ratio was also right. If I ever spend the night in Wittmund again, I would like to stay here again.

We were stranded in Wittmund at the end of March due to a medical emergency and needed somewhere to stay near the hospital for a few nights.Thanks to the incredibly nice hosts and their really uniquely good hotel, the stay almost felt like a vacation despite the worries.The house: a journey through different decades, lots of interesting decoration, but without appearing even remotely dusty and old. Everything seemed very well maintained.In the hallway you will find a station with fully automatic coffee machines, a refrigerator with cold drinks (all at extremely fair prices) and cups, glasses and a few dishes and cutlery.In the large breakfast room there is a really good and rich breakfast buffet in the morning, including honey from the honeycomb. But I think there isn't much for vegans (yet?).The rooms: we had a single room and a double room. Both very quiet.Single room: the bathroom was a bit narrow, the room had space for a spacious box spring bed, a huge TV and a seating area and, as in all rooms, there was a balcony with a table and chairs.Double room: I think it was the family room, which we could have also rented as a triple room. A dance hall, my son had plenty of space to play. Cozy sitting area with huge old armchairs, huge comfortable box spring bed, large balcony, TV almost the size of a cinema screen and in an adjoining room a wardrobe, suitcase bench, a normal-sized refrigerator and a kettle. The bathroom was big enough.Technically: enough sockets and extra USB ports on the beds, stable WiFi and so that you can enjoy the huge cinema, the hotel offers free Sky access.Location in Wittmund:It's just a few steps to the entrance to the pedestrian zone with lots and lots of food options in the unlikely event that the restaurant downstairs in the hotel building doesn't suit your taste.Banks, Lidl open on Sundays, park, café, hospital within very, very easy walking distance. The train station is also just a short walk, but if you have a lot of luggage you can take the bus around the corner.And last but not least: The Niemann family are real treasures.Maybe it was our special situation - Mr. and Mrs. Niemann were very approachable, friendly and extremely helpful rocks in the surf for us. They tried to find an answer to every question and a solution to every problem, even if it had nothing to do with the hotel. If we needed peace and quiet, we had peace and there was always time for a little chat.It was just right, perfect hosts.Since Wittmund is a very good starting point for many activities in the area and the town itself is really small and super cute, we will definitely come back again.

Extraordinarily beautiful and comfortable hotel in the middle of Wittmund. The food was very good and the hotel owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back!
