We ate schnitzel on site and had the entire seating area in the courtyard to ourselves. It is idyllic and you can enjoy the beautiful weather here. There is also a garden and a roof terrace.The schnitzels were small but crispy and tasty. Both hunter's sauce and gypsy sauce also tasted good, although unfortunately there wasn't enough quantity for the fries.We didn't like the salad with the finished yogurt dressing. If you replace this with a little more sauce for the meat and fries it would be great.The holiday farm is owned by a private family who are quick but rather cool and distant. There is no homepage and unfortunately you cannot get answers to questions via social media. (July 2024)

When I entered the establishment I was a little unsure at first, but luckily there were signs everywhere. Excellent! Who needs a personal approach when you can fight your way through a forest of signs? The extensive signage for every situation ensures that you are not left behind without question. You always know exactly what you shouldn't do. A really well thought out and “helpful” solution!I was particularly “impressed” by how detailed and clear the signs are. From the directions to the rules of conduct, everything is understandable and easy to follow. There are even humorous hints designed to put a “smile” on your face – who knew a simple sign could have so much charm?The cleanliness and organization of the establishment are also remarkable. Every area is “well maintained” and there are enough employees who are always ready to help if you find them. The atmosphere is “friendly” and welcoming, which makes the stay “very pleasant”.A special highlight is the security infrastructure. Cameras are installed everywhere to ensure that everything runs “smoothly”. This ensures that the operator is always “prepared” for the wishes and needs of the guests. You feel “completely safe” and well monitored.An absolute highlight is the extensive information brochure that is provided to every guest. You should definitely read this brochure! It contains so many detailed prohibitions and rules that you feel absolutely “safe” and in good hands. These clear guidelines contribute enormously to the feeling of security and show how much attention is paid to the well-being of visitors.Overall, my visit was a “very positive” experience. I can recommend this establishment to anyone who values ​​good orientation, cleanliness, security and “friendly” service. A big “kudos” to the entire team!

Last weekend we were guests with four families including small children (1 and 3 years old). First of all, the ambience and location of the accommodation are great. Personally, I like the rustic style with half-timbered buildings and open spaces.But now to my point of criticism, which I'm apparently not alone with: the unfriendliness of the operators!We discovered on Friday evening that the heaters were off (it was 6 degrees, which is not unusual in the Eifel at the beginning of May. It was 16 degrees in the house). When I politely asked on Saturday morning whether the heating could be turned on, it was rudely pointed out that the heaters were already in summer operation. You can get firewood at the Bauhaus, there is a fireplace. When I commented that you could actually expect warm rooms when you booked accommodation or whether you could at least charge for the firewood, a few other things came to my mind out of nowhere, which I'll go into in more detail in a moment. It's also cheeky that you're accused of using children as a reason to turn on the heating. I suspect that they are trying to save every possible cent here.Then Saturday late afternoon the heaters were suddenly on. That's nice, but why not directly? Then you could have saved yourself the unfriendly conversations.It is also interesting that as a guest you are not informed upon arrival that the heating is off and you need firewood. But apparently you have an obligation to collect information as a guest in the accommodation. And the brochure that is available in the accommodation also states that you can purchase firewood from the owner. But that is apparently not the case either.Then we were also accused of trampling flowerbeds, leaving other people's furniture outside and hanging around outside with the doors open until 3am. Now the clarifications:- We have placed drinks crates in the garden under a staircase after consultation with the owners. There was a gravel area without any plants. So no flowers were trampled.- we accidentally left ONE child's chair out in the rain for a few hours. We should have noticed it, but unfortunately we overlooked it. BUT: it was a wooden chair! We then washed it off and dried the small cover from the backrest and it was fine. The operator could have pointed this out in a friendly manner in a personal conversation, we would have apologized and been done with it. But it definitely wasn't any other furniture.- yes, some of us sat in the apartment until 3 a.m. and talked and were probably at the door for a cigarette or two. BUT: without music and definitely NOT with open doors. We only opened the doors for quick ventilation (as required by the house rules).Conclusion:Unfortunately, the very nice accommodation in a great location cannot be recommended due to the unfriendliness of the operators.Apparently the operator invests a lot of time in justifying legitimate criticism. Maybe instead we should reflect on why the same criticism keeps coming up.In addition, there seems to be a certain degree of control mania that makes it easy to talk about the guests' "missteps".

A very nice place, a nice building, nice rooms... quaint, rustic, half-timbered, close to the lake. Room prices initially ok. Has potential.But then: At the beginning of May, the outside temperatures at night can also be in the single digits. This was also the case during our stay: 6°CAfter the heating in both accommodations initially didn't work, we asked the following morning whether it was possible to turn the heating on, as we had two small children under the age of 3 with us and the temperature inside the half-timbered building was well below 17 ° C. The answer was: That wouldn't work because the heating was now in summer mode. We should burn wood. When we asked if there was any wood available somewhere, we were snapped at: We would just have to go to BAUHAUS and buy wood there (distance >21 km according to Google Maps). The room prices are simply outrageous.On the same day towards evening the heating suddenly came on. Then why? Absolutely incomprehensible. This could have been communicated in a friendly manner.Overall, unfortunately very unfriendly contact with the operators. People were barked at and left to answer questions. Too bad. This at least ensures that low-maintenance guests (which we certainly were and are) don't become regulars or make recommendations. However, after reading the other reviews, I am sure that the operators will have a suitable answer here too. So I would like to add: We were always friendly, left the premises as we found them at the beginning, left everything swept clean, took out the garbage and NOT, I emphasize NOT, turned on the smoke detectors or activated fuses. We also left the barbecue area greased as we found it.Finally we even said goodbye with a “thank you”. Here the answer was ok.Recommended? Conditional. Urgent appeal to the operators: If you don't need any of this, then carry on as is.

The house is actually quite comfortable and has a nice location - hence the generous 2 stars - but is riddled with prohibition notices and redundant warnings.Unfortunately the “Welcome” is missing.This also fits 1:1 with the landlord’s mentality. The impression quickly arises: the main thing is that you are out of here tomorrow at 10 a.m.The landlady should really read the reviews from various guests here and reflect on the fact that the word “unfriendliness” can be read here unusually often!!How can that be?Can all these guests be wrong? Probably not...I usually give very good reviews, but in the hospitality industry you should have a sense of hospitality and openness. Unfortunately, this is largely missing here.We still wish you all the best and maybe everything will work out a little better when the weather is nice ;-)

The accommodation is in a very nice location and the price is ok. Four of us stayed there for one night. However, we were very surprised when the host welcomed us. She seems to be a troubled person as her rudeness was quite worrying. In my opinion she shouldn't work in the service industry. She has zero feeling for human interaction. She lacks a lot of self-esteem.

I have to add my two cents here again.Short form:- poor heating- Suitable for hobbits (ceiling height)- MICE INfestation!!- 2 adults (or cuddling...)- Owners don't respond+ Beautiful location (right on the lake)We were 2 adults and 1 child (15 years old) in the accommodation for one night. The description states that the accommodation can accommodate 2 adults and a child. The sofa that is available for the child is on the one hand out of date and on the other hand the size is not ideal.The heaters above heated very well without any problems. However, downstairs, where the dog had slept, it was extremely cold because nothing was tight and the heaters installed there didn't really heat well. However, the mobile oven that was also inside didn't work as it should...The ceiling height at the top of the sleeping area is only suitable for people under 1.60... i.e. hobbits.And to make matters worse, the mice are also making trouble in the apartment... We had our breakfast with us because the café was closed the next day, but we had to throw it away because the mice had eaten it. Mice droppings were also on the floor. We have contacted the owners but unfortunately no response so far (5 days) so I think the problem has been known for a long time but has not been addressed.We wouldn't have written this review, but since there is no response privately, it has to be made public. So that everyone is warned about what they are not in the description.

We were there over New Year's Eve 2022/23 and although we didn't even have sparklers or streamers with us, we were accused of filling up the courtyard with firecrackers. The smoke detector also went off due to the steam when showering and here too it was claimed that we had tampered with the part. We don't even talk about the dirt under the bed and the moldy shower curtain. Very unfriendly, schizophrenic accusations and therefore not recommended. It's a shame about the quaint apartment and the beautiful location.

Very bad experience in everything dirty unfriendly host and hostess if you are not there before 7 pm you have to sleep outside because they will not let you in anymore. I would advise everyone against going on holiday there for us it was a real horror

Unfortunately I didn't have that much time, but it was worth it, a little ivent for Christmas 🎄. Pretty and beautiful and for a small budget. Just an insider tip
