I moved into a single room for the weekend. It was above the restaurant, so it smelled like food and frying oil 24/7. The other single room guests on my floor also complained about this. In addition, the room was absolutely old and not clean. This was different with the double rooms, as they were in a different building and on a completely different level! I moved the TV off the table to give me more space and it hasn't been cleaned in ages. The "roller shutters" were old fabric covers that could be pulled down. Since there were only wooden windows, it was moldy there. There was also mold everywhere in the shower. The carpet had indefinable stains. €70 per night in this room is an absolute disgrace. I don't have any specific requirements for a hotel if you're only staying for two nights, but at least the room should be clean and tidy. Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the price at all. Absolute failure, if you book a single room, you shouldn't consider this hotel!

We were a wedding party and we were very satisfied. The rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast was sufficient and the service was attentive. The food and service in the inn was very friendly and flexible. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. Many many thanks.

After hearing about negative reviewsAfter moving into our room, we were pleasantly surprised. It gave us a clean, well-kept impression. We don't count ourselves among the guests who are constantly looking for defects. The bathroom was in good, modern condition. There was even a rain shower and hairdryer. However, the water pressure was not quite optimal.The breakfast, which is often criticized here, was served at the table (there was no buffet) but we didn't lack anything. Sausage, cheese, jam (albeit packaged), juices, coffee or tea, rolls or bread, everything was offered. If there wasn't enough, you could order more. There was even a lavish fruit plate at the next table.Conclusion: for a 2-3 star hotel the price-performance ratio was absolutely fine. We can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience!

The cleanliness of the room was ok, but nothing more. Dirty corners and hair in the bathroom. My room was above the terrace and in the evenings when the window was open all the cigarette smoke wafted into the room. No curtains, just an outside blind. The bed was comfortable.I have to complain about the staircase to the rooms. The stairs started directly behind the heavy door, which was a challenge with luggage.The breakfast is also inadequate for a restaurant that also does catering. No choice, you just get a plate of cheap cold cuts and sweet spreads like jam. On the second morning, upon request, a carelessly prepared canned scrambled egg was brought in, which was inedible. There is a lot of room for improvement here for €70 per night. Staff nice, but nothing more. Overall, no recommendation.

Room 5 was overall okay. At first glance it was clean, but it was a bit old. What really bothered me was that there were no curtains on the windows. If you want “privacy”, you only have the choice between lowering the external blind or not, or it doesn’t even go all the way up. On the other hand, I find the renovated bathroom and the often missed luggage system and cloakroom positive. Unfortunately, the "new" bathroom also has a disadvantage: the light. There is only oneilluminated mirror, that's all.The breakfast is also very clear and simple, without any highlights, just the most important basics.

The price-performance ratio is definitely not right here. The quality of the dinner is below average. The room was okay, but I didn't have hot water in the shower between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The evening before I was allowed to eat leftovers from my predecessorpersonally remove it from the desk of my room myself. Housekeeping is the very last thing, see photo. Breakfast consists of discount sausage, cheese, jam, etc. When I asked about bee honey, I was told that we only have flower honey and that in broken German. So what's the point? Fitters mostly stay here and don't eat breakfast because it doesn't fit. The first visit to this "hotel" and definitely the last.

My conclusion right at the beginning:Super friendly hospitality, good food at a fair price and a suitable location.Yesterday evening we were at "Pude" - the Gasthof zur Alten Weide in Velten - because of our class reunion (30 years after the 10th).The restaurant offers enough space for groups of up to 20 people. But I even think there is still a room where more would fit. A prior reservation and agreement on group size is desirable and recommended.Our service was very attentive, unobtrusive and very friendly. Thanks for that again.We all ordered food and drinks from karts and each participant in our group paid their own bill in the evening. This can be done by cash or card. Total / collective invoices are also possible, depending on the agreement.The food was very good and the price-performance ratio was okay. Of course, the kitchen takes a little longer to order 15 meals at the same time, but on the one hand this was pointed out when ordering and on the other hand it is a good indication that the food is still freshly cooked here.The supply of drinks was also quick, unobtrusive and served in a friendly manner.So I can currently only recommend a visit to the Gasthof zur Alten Weide, also for celebrations or class reunions. There are also overnight accommodations here, but I can't rate them because I didn't use them.So thank you very much for the friendly and warm hospitality.
