The concept is now called digital hotel industry. And if I hadn't needed a key card to get the bike into the basement, I would have actually made it into the room without direct contact with another person. I'm not so sure whether it's the future. Because even for me as an internet freak, it wasn't easy. You can choose the room on the homepage (Deluxe double room for single use. €135 with discount including breakfast. So not cheap). When booking you can then add various extras such as a parking space (€8 per day). If you are satisfied, you get paid. The entire amount via credit card or bank transfer. When filling out the digital registration form, a photo of your passport must be taken and uploaded. After the final check-in, in front of the hotel, you can open the door using your smartphone. Simsalabim. There is a nice lounge, with self service. Snacks and drinks (including bottles of wine or champagne) can be found in vending machines. A digital concierge takes on the function of a hotel folder. The Chiemgau Card is also available digitally. Staff are only really present at breakfast. It's really fascinating how everything is possible, but I think it's too impersonal.The location in the middle of the city center is ideal. Shops (including a drinks shop) and inns from Bavarian quaint to upscale are more or less around the corner. The parking spaces at the hotel are limited (hence the cost). If you want to walk for a few minutes you can park for free at the train station. The whole hotel is artistically designed, but not too overwhelming. It actually seems quite nice, although of course not Bavarian. Bicycles can be parked securely. In any case, a few steps have to be overcome. Sockets for e-bikes are available in the bicycle cellar. There is an elevator for the three floors. And oh yes, you also get a key card at the info point so that you don't always have to swipe on your smartphone.The deluxe room is very large and also modernly furnished. Soft carpet and large box. There was no dust, dirt or notable signs of habitation to be found. But also no room safe, minibar, or air conditioning. Of course there is a TV (with many channels) and several seating areas. WiFi is free and medium speed. It is illuminated with modern LEDs. The soundproofing between the rooms is excellent. I can't judge the windows because they have a garden view (another advantage of the deluxe room). Darkening is done with curtains, which are okay. The large bed has a mattress that is slightly harder (for me). Room cleaning (and also making beds) is only every other day. If you would like additional cleaning, you can scan a QR code. No idea what it costs. There is one Komi waste bin per floor. Only a small one in the room for toiletries.The bathroom is dominated by a large rain shower (deluxe room), in which unfortunately around (I didn't count) 25% of the jets are calcified. It takes a while for the temperature to come up, obviously given the age of the house, but it then remains stable. Everything else is tip top. Shampoo is provided and you can even sit in the shower. We also have storage. Shower is tight. And the powerful extractor hood keeps the mirror free of fog, which you don't see often. The bathroom can be heated separately and is neatly tiled. I just couldn't figure out how the steam bath would work. But I didn't ask.The breakfast buffet is now not too overloaded. Two juices, a coffee machine (which plays all the pieces), a huge selection of teas (open varieties. A dream for tea lovers), and everything you would expect. In my opinion the bread was particularly good. I was missing some liver sausage and cheese spread. But there are various spreads. The croissants also hid well on the first day. Selection of sweets also limited. The dispensers for jam and honey are really nice. Scrambled eggs with bacon are available from Warmhal

Unfortunately we cannot recommend the hotel for families with babies/small children. When booking with a baby aged 0, we were only offered the double room Plus online due to its size. If you occupy the double room plus with 2 adults, it costs €124 according to online booking. If you choose a baby who is 0 years old, the price jumps to €154, meaning an additional cost of €30. However, you have to book a bed for an additional €20. This means we paid €50 for one night for our 10 month old baby. Since we had to travel overnight with the baby, we were there in the morning and had to pay €20/€40 for an earlier check-in, which again wasn't charged per room but per person. So another 40€ on top. Although many of the rooms were free and had already been cleaned, we were still sent away with the baby by 12 p.m. because early check-in is only from 12 p.m., without exception. We paid €220 for one night/double room plus with a baby. In addition, we found a bathroom with 2-3 square meters and no windows. Standing in this bathroom as a couple or alone with a baby is an impossibility. We expressed this feedback personally, in a friendly manner and on a factual level, but we still did not find any understanding on any of the points. It was even denied that there was an extra charge for the baby, although this can be seen in the online booking depending on the selection. Anyone is welcome to check at any time. 🙂 We felt that the well-intentioned feedback was taken personally and the hotel didn't need any feedback since it was already error-free. This can also be seen in many recessions. Strikingly, it is always the guests who are at fault, and this will probably also be confirmed in the answer to us. It's a shame, we always see feedback as an opportunity for improvement, which is why we really value feedback on a factual level. To be honest, it is simply meant to be appreciative, to reflect the customer's perspective. But it is your decision whether you want to accept this. :) By the way, humility is one of the most important qualities as a leader and shows personal strength! And yes, it was our decision to pay this money because we did it out of love for our family, who wanted to try this hotel. This is therefore purely feedback and not an apportionment of blame. :) Despite everything, thank you for your efforts.

It was closed, nice to look at from the outside

A very nice and lovingly furnished hotel. My bed was clean and had a good firmness. Room service is available every two days. However, fresh towels and toilet paper are available in the hallways. The breakfast was very good. The employees are very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very centrally located. Dad townhouse concept is very modern.

This place is fabulous! The rooms are very nice. Breakfast was delicious. We recommend everyone stay here.

We have been to this unique hotel in Ruhpolding for the second time and can only recommend it to anyone who values ​​hospitality, warmth, modernity, elegance, cleanliness, a feel-good atmosphere and appreciation. We left nothing to be desired. We arrived with a dog, which we had previously reserved, and were greeted lovingly. We gratefully noted, accepted and very much enjoyed the small touches that this hotel attaches great importance to. As soon as you enter the hotel you feel incredibly comfortable. The balanced, competent, helpful and extremely friendly nature of the owners undoubtedly contribute to the flair of the house. Even at breakfast nothing was left to be desired. The hotel staff was always open, attentive, friendly and warm.Thank you very much for everything, we'll be back!

We were not satisfied with the cleaning of the room. For a hotel in this price range we expect the bathroom to be fully cleaned and the beds made. It's perfectly fine if this happens every two days. But you should also have the feeling when you enter the room that someone was there. It's also not a nice feeling when the hotel management gives you the impression that they don't believe the guest and criticism doesn't really seem welcome.
