Been here several times. The same happened yesterday, Saturday. The rating only refers to the economy, not the hotel. It's very nice on the Bode and I kind of like it here. It's certainly true that it has more of a snack bar feel, but that doesn't bother me. Yesterday we rang in the mulled wine season for ourselves, so to speak. Four mulled wine, two portions of red/white fries and two more large beers. You get a beeper at the table. Service was fine when ordering. Otherwise self-service applies. Prices are a bit higher. Portion of fries €3.90. At least neither ketchup nor mayo was charged extra. The inn can probably do less, but every now and then there was a cloud that was more reminiscent of a toilet... Overall, I like going here.

After a beautiful hike in a wonderful natural landscape, you come across the inn which seems really warm if it weren't for the service, who doesn't even manage to greet you or smile. It seems like the money coming in is the important thing and not the hospitality. So we just walked further along the stream and enjoyed our well-deserved drink at the next inn where our money was by far better spent.

Fantastic ambience in nature by a stream. The game goulash was tasty, but not exceptional.Still, it was a nice place to take a break from hiking.

Can be reached on foot from the direction of Thale, sturdy shoes recommended, very nice, varied hiking trail. Dogs are welcome. EC card payment possible. The food is delicious, but plan on waiting a bit.

Very nice staff and nice location. The way there leads past the Bode. Behind Königsruhe the path continues to the Devil's Bridge and the Bode Kessel.Because we ate roasted potatoes with brawn, very tasty. with a good beer (fortunately not Hasseröder).Everything is consistent and good

Self-serviceA beautifully landscaped, romantic place in the rugged Bodetal with a bubbling, roaring torrent. Good cake (I didn't eat anything else, but everything else is probably good too) and tasty sloe wine.

We were disappointed: the restaurant is in such a fantastic location, the Bode is roaring right next to the beer garden... but the ambience of the inn area itself is not very inviting, more like a snack bar. Self-service is absolutely okay and acceptable, but unfortunately there is also a lack of clean and contemporary seating and the friendliness of the service staff. We turned around... and looked for an alternative after a wonderful hiking trail through the Bodetal in Thale. next time: self-catering and picnic!

We hiked to the inn last week. The path was very beautiful. When we arrived we wanted to eat something. The wasps were so aggressive that we had no peace and quiet to eat.Unfortunately only the outdoor area was open.Of course the staff can't do anything about the numerous wasps, but the restaurant could have been opened for the guests. Very unfortunate!!!

Exactly what you're looking for after hiking.If you have come from the Hexentanzplatz or the water adventure park, it is perfect.There is a sufficient selection from soups to schnitzel, inexpensive and the view as well as the location directly on the Bode is fantastic!

So let's start with the nice stuff. I have known the place since my early childhood because my parents always took me to Thale. I was there myself with my children. And today I went there for the first time with my wife and grandson. The whole Bodetal is simply beautiful. And as always, you can grab a bite to eat here. And now comes the bad part. I ordered 2x goulash soup, 1x solyanka and a small portion of pasta with tomato sauce. The waitress immediately told me that the tomato sauce was spicy and I asked if I could get a sauce for my grandson or just ketchup without anything spicy. The lady went to the back of the kitchen and asked and came right back and said they make a small sauce without being spicy. It didn't take long before I was able to pick up our food. I don't know how to package this nicely. The food was a complete disaster. The tomato sauce was still spicy, instead of parmesan as it said on the board there was normal crumbled cheese. And I have no idea how you can make goulash soup and solyanka so inedible. Both were so over-seasoned with pepper that the bottom was black. I'm really sorry to say it like that, but please take a look at recipes for solyanka and goulash soup. The goulash soup just tasted like pepper and I don't even want to start with the crumbled meat. Neither of us finished it and neither did our grandson. Then I thought to myself, OK, you can't go wrong with a Soljanka - far from it. I have never eaten such bad solyanka.And we paid just under €35 for this dining experience. I know the economy in a completely different way with delicious food but today was a complete disaster. I'm really sorry that I have to choose my words so hard, but unfortunately I can't say anything nice about it. My tip is please rethink your recipes.

On our hike back from the Rosstrappe via the Treseburg to Thale, we stopped at the "Königsruhe". Available. The prices are reasonable. The food was very tasty.
