An exceptional stay! Upon arrival, the warm and friendly welcome from the 2 managers. The cleanliness of the place is impeccable and we feel truly pampered by the attention to detail. The location of the guest house is perfect. A big thank you for this experience, I fully recommend!

Very warm hosts of a great guesthouse in a great location. The breakfast offers everything you need in the morning. The location is an excellent starting point for excursions into the surrounding area. Plenty of very good restaurants in the area.

As a repeat visitor, I can only say good things. The next visit is already planned. We have already been to Altvogtshof 4 times. Particularly noteworthy are the quiet location, the great breakfast, the comfortable beds and of course the nice hosts (best regards to you!).The area is great for walking, eating out, visiting Titisee-Neustadt for a boat trip on the lake or strolling,...We go for a lot of walks, including mushroom hunting when it's in season, and enjoy the absolutely quiet surroundings.The rooms have a balcony; in the warmer months you can watch pigeontails on the planted balcony boxes and enjoy time by the pool.Drinks are available at any time, except for breakfast no food is offered, only snacks.You can also sit outside the house and use the facilities in the basement (sauna, games) (we haven't yet).

On the way back from our tour through Italy we stayed at this guest house for 3 nights.It is run by the kind and helpful Max and Christoph.Upon arrival we received a very friendly welcome from Robert, who also lives in the guest house.We had the nice and neatly maintained "cow room" with bathroom and balcony with a beautiful view.Every morning there was a delicious and extensive breakfast buffet.Robert gave us good tips and made reservations for the restaurants for us, for which you do need a car.The guest house also has an outdoor swimming pool and a sauna and play facilities for the youth in the basement.When we came back from a restaurant in the evening, we found it very pleasant to chat with other guests and with Robert, Max and Christoph in the breakfast room while enjoying a drink.The guest house is located in a secluded hamlet high among the meadows and forests in the middle of the beautiful Black Forest.You can make trips to nice villages and to Lake Titisee, which is a 20-minute drive away, or visit Freiburg by (free) train.Thank you guys, we will definitely come back.

Great house with good, large rooms, all of which have been recently renovated. The bathrooms are about 60% newly renovated, some rooms still have old bathrooms, but they are still OK.The beds are very large and really comfortable.The guest room is very comfortable, you can easily drink drinks you have brought with you or prepare food you have brought with you in the kitchen. You can use the dishes and glasses from the house.Max and Christoph as the landlord couple are super nice and helpful.The location is very far out. In the middle of nature. If you want to be closer to a larger city, the location is not ideal 😁.The outdoor pool is usually quite cold, and a sauna is available for a feeWell suited for large groups

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Altvogtshof.Many thanks to the lovely hosts Max, Christoph and Robert. Beautiful, well-kept rooms and we had a wonderful breakfast buffet every day in the cozy lounge.We were even able to use the beautiful outdoor swimming pool with a cozy terrace because it was heated to 26 degrees.We also received new tips for wonderful excursions in the area every day. In the cozy lounge you can get drinks for very moderate prices. We can only recommend the Altvogtshof and will be happy to come back.Clemens and Henny

It was our first time at Pension Altvogtshof and it was simply beautiful. Max, Christoph and Robert are very warm hosts and sociable. We had 12 nights with a perfect breakfast and really nice evenings together. We also received lots of tips for hikes, sights and restaurants. Our dog was warmly welcomed into the holiday family. We can fully recommend Pension Altvogtshof and look forward to seeing you again.

I can only agree that anyone who doesn't feel comfortable here won't feel comfortable anywhere else either.Max, Christoph and Robert are very lovely and attentive hosts. Good breakfast buffet, clean rooms, quiet location. A beautiful heated swimming pool with a nice relaxation area in the outdoor area.The hosts give you good tips for excursions and always have an open ear for you. What more could you want?Thanks to the hosts! We will come back...

The hotel was really very clean. The hotel owners Christoph and Max were attentive, friendly and helpful. Our room was big enough. We had requested an additional cot and it was already prepared before our arrival. The breakfast was sufficient. The location of the hotel was excellent. In short, everything was perfect. We will definitely come again and stay longer this time. A special thanks goes to Max.

Lovely place in a beautiful setting. The attention from the hosts was perfect, always willing to help and giving good advice on excursions in the area. The apartment we occupied was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. In addition, the house has common spaces with billiards, table football, games, etc. and a swimming pool. A paradise for children and adults :)

Really great guesthouse in a beautiful, quiet location. Many great excursion destinations for children. The real highlight, however, are the two hosts, Max and Christoph. You just have to feel comfortable with them. Children are very welcome and feel very comfortable with the hosts and in the guesthouse.Definitely worth a visit.
