We cannot give a review about the campsite facilities because we were simply refused entry by the very unfriendly lady at the reception. We registered spontaneously in the pouring rain. We made a small comment about the fact that we had to pay for the showers on top of the price of €40/night (camper + 2 people in low season). Although we had already indicated that we wanted to stay 2 nights. We were also immediately presented with a list of the campsite's restrictions and rules. She had a 'bad feeling' and didn't want to accept us. We were told that we should have looked at the website first to know the price and that we would be better off driving 10km further to another campsite. Never experienced this before in our long camping life. If this is 'hospitality'...we wish future campers the best of luck.

Dear Camp Hammer,I was with you in autumn last year and looking back, the place is one of the cleanest and most beautiful I have visited to date.The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day. Everyone at the place is very friendly and their hearts are in the right place. You can really tell that the place is run with love.The night sky is a dream. When you have to go to the toilet at night, the stars light your way.It's rare to find so much understanding and consideration for people and nature :)I'll be back

Neat little campsite with 2 standing areas. 1 just outside the campsite, many campers and 1 on the campsite where we stood on the outer edge of the campsite right on the water. Many regular guests but saw little of them in mid-September. Neat sanitary facilities and washing up facilities. House for the children to play in. House where you can get coffee/drinks yourself (for a fee). Self-service restaurant and nice terrace. Shower €1 for 4 minutes. Pitch dark at night and wonderfully quiet, great place to visit Monschau or walk in the Eifel nature

We had a super good stay. We had a very nice pitch, the campsite was well maintained and nicely decorated. The sanitary facilities were super clean. Location is great, hiking is possible directly from the site, other sights can be easily reached by car.

A great place for camping in the summer if you are a beginner for camping. We stayed in a tent for a night, and we liked there a lot that we came back again in two weeks!The nature was amazing and lots of nice hiking routes close by. It's only 20 min to the lakes of the Eifel national park.About the camp site, it was a really clean, and nice campsite which was founded by a couple. They are really nice and helpful people. There is also restaurant and cafe and also you can buy fresh bread in the morning.In the campsite you could get any facility which you might need during your stay.

I was here for a week in the summer.The place is comparatively expensive!But you also get something in return. A rather small, very quiet place directly on the Rur. The river is shallow and calm here at camp. As a guest you can camp directly on the river bank. The children splash around here from morning to evening. There are only a few places here for travelers, almost all of the space is given to long-term campers. But very few bungalows and containers, lots of caravans, you feel like you're among campers here. A beautiful place! Pitches are level and sufficiently large, not separated from each other, no hedges or fences. You have to create a little bit of your own privacy when you need it. The place is overall very well maintained. Sanitary facilities are also in excellent condition, you have to slip in the shower, very clean and well maintained. The only drawback here: €1 for a 4-minute shower. Very annoying and completely incomprehensible given the estimated prices for parking spaces and overnight stays. Breakfast can be ordered. The nature of the surrounding area and the view from the square in the valley, up the mountain, as well as the starry sky at night are really beautiful. We received a very friendly welcome here and the boss is personally on site and approachable.Overall, a really great campsite if you reserve a pitch in good time and bring the necessary change - even for the shower.

Actually, this place has everything to offer that makes a camper's heart beat faster. But what doesn't work at all is the plot we got. When booking we provided the dimensions of our vehicle. The drive to the lot was incredible. After the reception we had to go through a narrow forest. We had to unplug the caravan twice and maneuver it with the mover. It is completely incomprehensible to me how vehicles of this size can be placed in such an area. Unfortunately we won't be coming back...

A few days before our stay, we booked and pay a camping spot for our tent. Despite that the money was sent, we received one messages saying that it was not possible to come, and another one saying that it was indeed possible. So for 3 consecutive days we tried to reach them unsuccessfully though watssap and call. Only the day before our planned holiday, they contacted us and apologize to tell us that we could come on the dog owner place but that they were very busy. We decided not to go and kindly asked for a refund, which they did. That was a very poor service quality for the price that we should had pay.

We were guests at this campsite for 6 days. The welcome was very friendly and everything was explained to us and explained on the site plan. Driving around the site wasn't a problem either. Our caravan is 2.35/7.65. The children (5 and 7) had a lot of fun in the play area and on the playground. But the highlight was the proximity to the Rur and the endless playing in it. The toilets and showers were clean and were cleaned daily. Showering currently costs 1 euro for 4 minutes. The proximity to Monschau or the Rursee was also great, as the cycle paths make it possible to visit without a car. We can recommend this place and wish everyone a great holiday like we had.

This campsite is an ideal starting point for exploring the Eiffel Tower and its surroundings. I particularly preferred the small field next to the campsite because of its open character.
