The hotel is very nice and has a good restaurant. After initially moving into a not-so-nice room (which, according to the nice owner, is now being changed), upon request we were offered another, really great room at no extra cost.Great stay - great thing!

We actually wanted two nice days on the occasion of our 30th wedding anniversaryin Winterberg at the Hotel Forsthaus.Unfortunately I had to go to the hospital at short notice.We tried to postpone our trip and really wanted to catch up with you at a later date.The hotel was unable to accommodate us.We have to accept the cancellation conditions but are personally very disappointed about thisBehave. Will not recommend this apparently great hotel.

We were just guests in the restaurant. Very nice, very hard working, that's how you imagine service. I had a pasta dish with mushrooms, super delicious. My husband had a dish with fried potatoes, which unfortunately didn't turn out that well, hardly any roasted flavors. Wine...very tasty. We would recommend the restaurant.

The three of us were there as siblings to relax! Which we succeeded very well. A nice, clean house in a central location but quietly located on a side street. Breakfast was rich and tasty, dinner was very good, something for everyone 😋.Everyone in the family-run hotel and the staff were always nice and friendly! We booked a long weekend in a 3 bed room. The room is very simple and so is the breakfast. It seemed very unloving to me. When I asked for scrambled eggs because they were empty, the son of the house told me in a not so friendly tone that he couldn't see when it was empty and that he would do it straight away. I was out of scrambled eggs. Unfortunately, dogs are also allowed in the breakfast room! Drinking a glass of wine in the evening would also hurt my wallet because a glass of white wine costs €9.80! That left me speechless because you get the feeling that you rely on tourism there, tourists come anyway.All in all a better guesthouse with exorbitant prices

Horrible experience. Hotel looks completely different from how it is advertised. Owners are quite unfriendly towards guests and do not respons well to any form of (respectful) criticism.For a region that sees a lot of bicycle tourism they are far from accommodating. They offer a very crowded bike storage that is nowhere near ideal to store an expensive bike.Rooms are very outdated in the second building and very uncomfortable. Price they charge is definitely upscale..

Warm and friendly welcome and also very friendly staff..The breakfast buffet is well extensive.Very tasty food working with fresh products and spices.That experiment, I recommend it to everyone to take half board, is great.👌👌And our dog was very welcome.

We had a lovely stay. The real Sauerland breakfast was rich and delicious. The family-run hotel is very clean. Well-kept and spacious rooms. The city center and a hiking trail can be reached in just a few minutes.

We were there from Thu-Sun with 5 people and 5 dogs. Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Free parking spaces at the house.We stayed in the building next door. Cozy, beautifully furnished rooms.The dogs were allowed to come to breakfast. The breakfast was rich, fresh and delicious.The hotel is centrally located, yet quiet on a side street.Highly recommended

We were there in mid-December and we really enjoyed it. As soon as we arrived in front of the house, we were totally amazed by the whole ambience, how lovingly it was decorated, how beautiful everything was, really a dream. The family that runs the house, the employees, everyone is so nice, friendly and helpful that you just don't want to leave. I then booked an upgrade to the suite as a little surprise for my girlfriend's birthday and what can I say, we would have loved to move in there. When it comes to breakfast, absolutely nothing is left to be desired. There is something for everyone, everything is fresh and delicious. There is also a family restaurant right in the house, where we also ate once. 5 stars for the chef, 5 stars for the service, 5 stars for the ambience. We will come back in any case.
