Stayed here for one night and everything was fine. Rooms clean, beds comfortable, although a bit narrow. Lady at reception very friendly. Breakfast is completely sufficient and delicious. The young woman who was on duty there that day was also very attentive and always asked if everything was OK. We can recommend it!

Very nicely furnished rooms, only the bathroom and toilet are very narrow. Smoke detector still not ready. There was only breakfast which should have been better for the price. No restaurant, no bar, no wellness.

In my opinion, the Friedrich Franz Palais is overrated. As already mentioned, there are no smoke detectors installed in the rooms, which does not create a good impression for the travel guest as it undermines the feeling of security. A note from the hotel management could be appropriate here.We stayed in a junior suite; the junior part could not be partitioned off and there was no way to darken the window.Just imagine: the television in the "children's room" and the one in the parents' room (distance between the devices about 1 meter) are screaming at each other, there is no door to close.In the morning, the junior is up with the first rays of sunshine as the room does not have a darkening system.The bedside lamp in the suite didn't work, as did the hairdryer installed in the bathroom, but there was a cheap travel hairdryer next to it. There was a kettle for tea or instant coffee, although there was no socket nearby where you could plug it in.The criticism made was only partially accepted...

We chose this hotel in Bad Doberan as an overnight stop. A hotel with incomplete renovation work and excellent, hard-working staff. Since the location of the hotel is very good, we can definitely recommend the hotel.

We have been to Bad Doberan many times.However, for the first time in the Friedrich-Franz-Palais.A very nice hotel.The rooms are tastefully decorated and so clean.Some corners are currently being remodeled.The only negative point is the breakfast.For a four star hotel we would have expected a larger selection at the buffet.We think that after Corona every hotel and restaurant will have to struggle with a lack of staffThat's why the restaurant was closed.

Beautiful house in which craftsmen still work. Fire alarms in the room were not fully installed, the swimming pool was not yet finished, the restaurant was closed. A note about the last 2 points by email would have been helpful, as it was difficult to find a restaurant seat without a reservation. Breakfast is priced at 20 euros per person, but we expect more quality, more selection and fresh fruit, sorted by variety. Subjective value around 7 euros per person.

I was in the restaurant with my family (14 people) for Christmas dinner on December 25th, 23. We had to order the food weeks in advance and then had to wait almost two hours for the food. Three people have a menu. First starter was burnt avocado toast. The second starter was a soup that tasted like dishwashing water and rags. The main course was cold, dry duck with two drops of sauce. The kids had fries with nuggets without ketchup or mayo. There was no sauce for the schnitzel with boiled potatoes and the rump steak we ordered was raw and bled nicely. The fries served with it were cold.The waitress then deducted the drinks from the bill, which was very courteous.Next year we're going somewhere else.(We were only restaurant guests. NO HOTEL GUESTS)

The house was built in the late baroque style in 1795. Renovations in the basement are currently underway. There will then be a swimming pool, a bar and a ballroom. The work on the facade has been completed.The rooms are equipped with modern LED lighting with a dimmer, controlled by buttons, and a refrigerator is also included.There is still a lot of old furniture throughout the house, supplemented by new pieces that match the style of the house.We were on site for 4 days and were not disturbed by ongoing work.The breakfast is completely fine, we didn't miss anything.WiFi was available throughout the house in very good quality.In the room there is a nice bathroom with a large shower.Unfortunately the toilet is behind a sliding door in the hallway. The toilet is very tiny and could cause problems for corpulent people.The staff is just getting used to it, is very attentive and requests or suggestions are implemented immediately.Village Typically, the street is made of cobblestones and therefore the driving noises of the cars can be heard loudly.You also have to be able to adapt to the character of the house. We liked it and it certainly wasn't our last visit there.

Very nicely located in the middle of Bad Doberan. Romantic room with old furniture. The beds are new and very comfortable. However, there is currently a lot of renovation going on, which means there is some unrest and noise. The service tries to compensate.
