Rooms are a bit outdated but clean, large and comfortable. The area around the hotel is a bit run down and unfortunately there are more shops. There is no staff at the reception and it takes a while before someone shows up. The staff is probably understaffed, barely speaks German but super attentive and friendly. Impressive halls and historic past. Old glory that has somewhat faded.

The reception was great and the very exciting hotel (history and today) was totally impressive. We would come back!

A venerable building that is getting old. If you are welcomed at a hotel in the middle of the Eifel and asked if you speak English, I find it a bit strange.

Guys, do yourself a favor and just leave it. The room was dusty everywhere and the bathroom handle was broken. The shower gel was empty and the shower head was calcified. The room itself is very quiet unless the next room is taking a shower or using the toilet. You don't need music, you can hear enough from the neighbors. The draft beer was stale and you had the impression that the receptionist/"service person" was basically overwhelmed by the overall situation. The evening staff during the evening event, however, were very attentive and friendly. Thank you for the great service and the good mood.Unfortunately, the euphoria of the evening was severely diminished by the very bland and very narrow breakfast buffet. The scrambled eggs were cold, missing forks and the coffee was so sour that I would have put it in a salad. In general, very little attention was paid to the buffet; no cold cuts or rolls were added. The dirty dishes were not cleared away and service was generally less than rare.I described a rough outline of my stay at the reception when checking out. Only to be fobbed off with flippant reactions instead of a professional approach. In this form it is definitely a unique stay.If you still dare to do it, I'll give you a little tip: It's better to wear a construction helmet or something similar. In the event that another meter-long piece of stucco falls from the ceiling onto a table in the event hall.

The owner should take a basic course on being customer friendly. The breakfast was a joke with baked rolls. The coffee at breakfast was so thin that I could read my newspaper without glasses. The rooms are nice but not exactly clean.

Nice staff. Good breakfast. WiFi only works weakly in the room. Self-service refrigerator with drinks. Formerly an impressive hotel with an interesting history, which has lost some of its former glory. Recommended for one or two nights.

The price is quite expensive (99€ for 2 people, one night), but a nice location, very good breakfast, nice staff, huge room and very, very clean
