At €27 for a cyclist 🚵🏻 with a small tent, far too expensive ⛺You have to pay for all possible extras. I have not received an invoice or a guest card. And payment was only possible in cash even though there was a card reader. In my opinion, the operator is running a rip-off here.I really liked the sanitary facilities and seating options, that's why I get 2*.

The Mühlleiten campsite in Schönau offers an idyllic location with wonderful views of the Berchtesgaden Alps and directly on the beautiful cycle path to Berchdesgaden or Königsee. Quiet at night, loud during the day because of the nearby main road and the place is very clean. This is ideal for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and the staff is friendly. Perfect for relaxing days in nature!

Nice clean campsite, unfortunately they didn't want to accommodate me for two nights, only one, even though they had plenty of space. They only wanted payment for one night in cash, but the coffee could be paid by card, I don't understand. Satisfied though.

My wife and I were guests at the Mühlleiten campsite in August for 11 days in the motorhome, after prior written reservation. In retrospect, I can't actually follow some of the reviews I've read before, so I've collected my personal impressions, as I always like to do.It is a very comfortable place for motorhomes, caravans and tents. There are spaces for all required vehicle sizes, for the most part. Almost 100% of the pitches have satellite reception options and very powerful WiFi for free. However, the fresh water supply (a tap near the reception) is not enough. A few more places in the shade could make your stay more pleasant on hot days. The sanitary facilities are relatively new and would also be very clean if all users had a little more sense of order and cleanliness. I picked up leftover toilet paper and towel paper from the floor and disposed of it several times a day. It is incomprehensible that there are people who simply throw scraps of paper on the floor and leave them lying there, saying that they should clean it. The toilets are very spacious and clean, both in the men's and women's areas. There are only three shower cubicles for the men, but I was able to use them all day without waiting. The scullery and washing machine room are very neat, functional and clean. The reception is also a kiosk, has a bread roll service, small snacks (pizza, tarte flambée and breakfast), draft beer and a manageable range of things for everyday life. No matter who is behind the counter, everyone is super friendly and willing to provide information. Lake Königssee is within walking distance. A bus stop about 200m from the square offers many free connections with the guest card in all directions. The site also includes several holiday apartments of various sizes. Just opposite the campsite is a highly recommended restaurant with a large indoor and very large outdoor area (beer garden). However, the wasps were almost unbearable during our stay. The owner of the place, Mr. Lenz, is the second mayor of the town, competent, accessible, informative and also very nice. The kiosk also has a covered seating area, which is often used by campers for breakfast and the like. The panorama around the square is gigantic. The road to Königssee that runs directly past the square is not a problem. It is exactly 3.5km to Berchtesgaden by bike or on foot for shopping. There is a LIDL, REWE, DM market and other various shopping and refreshment options at the train station. For example a butcher shop etc.

Good location directly on Lake Königssee, but unfortunately a bit noisy due to the expressway, very friendly service, places are big enough, but a bit disorderly due to the more or less free choice of places, sanitary facilities are clean

Weird experience here.checked in evening 28.8.24 The girl that worked there assured us it was impossible to pay for only one night with a credit card. Only two nights or more. Weird. Tried to pay for two different parties' single nights . Also no.. even though it is the same price as two nights.So we get cash. The girl doesn't take identification or ask who is staying like every other campsite in Europe. I asked for a receipt and she grabs a scrap piece of paper and writes down the price.She assures me the computer system isn't functioning.A few minutes after the transaction I saw her using the cash register to ring someone else up.Later my friends pay also just for one night in cash and there is again no trace.It's hard not to assume that the employee is up to no good and when not her then the owner of the establishment.Outside of the questionably legal handling of moneyThere aren't enough showers and it's not very clean.

They haven't even responded to my request yet... How far away can you be from your guests?!

Nice place, great location. However, small parking spaces. Excellent fresh beer at reception.
