I agree with the many positive reviews! We also had a few lovely days on a typical farm with everything that goes with it. Class!!

We were there for the second time and will definitely come back. A very quiet family-run farm. With dogs, cats, goats, sheep, ponies, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits and a pig. The animals are fed every evening and the children can help diligently. Dealing with the animals is also important. You can feel that it is important to the owners that all animals are treated well. A short horse ride is also possible upon request. Sitting together in the evening and having a barbecue is definitely welcome. A large play barn in the house invites you to linger on rainy days. The apartments are lovingly furnished and you will find everything you need in a holiday apartment.You can always find excursions in the surrounding area. On hot days there are beautiful natural lakes for swimming or outdoor pools. In the evening you can go for walks and if the children feel like it, they can also take a dog with them for a walk.Thank you for the great vacation.

Very nice farm, lovely hosts, lots of animals and a very nice atmosphere for barbecues or walks. Great way to deal with children. Many regional specialties. We have a clear recommendation

We spent 7 days on the farm with our three-year-old granddaughter Jasmin. We just got to visit relatives once, otherwise we were always on the farm. Whether feeding the animals, taking eggs, riding, driving a tractor, or using the play barn when the weather was bad, everything that children needed was there. A very big thank you for the hospitality, the beautiful apartment and also a special compliment to Sophie, who puts a lot of effort into caring for the children and animals. Kind regards to Heiko, Kira, Benny, Bina, Charlotte, Jule, Paul, Spirit, Klara and their children. We will recommend this farm to our friends. We once had relatives visit and they could also see what a holiday apartment looks like, how the animals were fed and what opportunities were available on the farm. Feeding, taking eggs, petting little lambs and all other animals such as rabbits, goats, etc. of course, driving a tractor, walking the dog and even riding - everything is included.It was a great week of vacation!

Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot understand the many good reviews here.The pictures on the website promise a welcome if you want to spend your time on the farm and come into contact with animals.The exact opposite was the case. The reception from the granddaughter was short and cool. Same and worse with feeding. My 2 year old child was told in a dominant tone to pick up the hay he dropped. Stroke? Maximum when asked and then with fears of “biting but” not wanting to be petted. Show and explain? None. After 15 minutes everything was already done. We were the only ones feeding and were happy to stop after the second time.Rabbits, goats, pigs and chickens spent the day alone in the stable. The only thing left on the farm to pet and get through the day was the dog and cat and the playground.The tractor is sweeping across the yard even though a 2-year-old child is clearly racing around.Completely different with the owners. There you notice that the child and you are welcome and that Mr. Kaltofen's heart is particularly attached to it. However, the owners are not very present, probably due to their old age.In general, you can feel that there is hardly any investment in the farm anymore. This applies to both the inventory and the playground/toys. A pity.All in all, not again!

A farm holiday like this does something to you.A part of it is done by the farm itself, a large part by the hosts and a small part by the other guests.The Kaltofen holiday farm itself is very well located and equipped.From there you can reach different excursion destinations every day for a week in a journey time of less than 30 minutes.The children can reach the different animals on the farm, the large garden or the play barn without having to constantly watch out for traffic. (We spend a lot of vacation on farms and have experienced this in other ways.)Of course, this also gives us parents a reassuring feeling. And that alone makes a huge contribution to relaxation 😉The apartments were very clean and (for lack of a better word) lovingly furnished. You feel welcome because pictures or decorations on the wall contribute to the homely atmosphere.One or two things weren't quite right in the holiday apartments (wardrobe door was loose, slatted frame had too much play in the bed frame), but this could be discussed openly with the Kaltofen family and solved pragmatically.To the Kaltofen family as hosts themselves: (“If you are reading this: Hello, thank you very much again and best regards😊”)I can write with a clear conscience that I have never met hosts who love children so much anywhere else.And of course we had great people as hosts on other vacations too. Sometimes cordial, sometimes distantly polite. This is part of the concept when you host holiday guests.At the Kaltofen holiday farm, being together was very pleasant from start to finish. Very approachable, wonderfully normal and uncomplicated.Finally, let’s talk about the other guests. Of course I can't speak for everyone here 😉But basically: you have to be a certain type of person to go on a farm holiday. The main target group is probably families with children from the city, where the children can get up close and personal with the animals (petting, feeding, riding horses), while the parents can relax from their everyday work (in my case, an office job). And that works great.When we visited, we were immediately on a first-name basis with the other guests, and our children quickly had friends to play with.All in all, a really great holiday at the Kaltofen holiday farm, which I recommend without reservation.All the best and maybe see you next year too 😊

Incredibly great place for the whole family. Fantastically beautiful for children. You just have to feel comfortable here. Very nice hosts.

Short vacation with family was absolutely decelerating and wonderful. The Kaltofen family is really very hospitable, the farm with all its animals is a dream. The apartment was well equipped and nothing else was missing. We'd love to come back.
