My parents stayed here. It is super clean and handicap accessible. Also they are very friendly. They sell jams and jellies, schnapps, and excellent wine. I highly recommend this hidden jem.

Worth a trip! We have been purchasing wine from this winery for years and have finally visited it.A very warm family, excellent wine and a lot of caring. The room was functional, everything was clean and tidy.Be sure to try the Dornfelder liqueur! We will continue to be loyal customers and will be happy to come back.

We were at the farm for a bachelorette party. We were welcomed with a great champagne reception with delicious appetizers. The day included a covered wagon ride, a wine tasting, Palatinate dinner (also vegetarian alternatives) and a private celebration in the wine cellar. The rooms were spacious, bright and clean. We had a great time and would like to thank the Schäfer family for their warmth and commitment.

We were able to book at short notice for an overnight stay with breakfast. Thank you for that Ms. Schäfer :-)The room was simple, but completely and functionally furnished. Everything was neat and clean! It would have been possible to have breakfast in the room... but we preferred the wine bar, it was timely ;-) The breakfast was plentiful! There is also a small farm shop...Friendly landlords!!!

Our stay was very nice. The Schäfer family is heartwarming and takes touching care of their guests. We stayed in a holiday apartment for a long weekend where nothing was missing. The highlight of the stay was that we were shown how schnapps is distilled. We also had a wine and gin tasting in the evening and have to say that everything tasted very good. Especially the gin.Kind regards from Hanover from Diana and Thomas

Unfortunately I have to leave a bad review here. Yesterday I bought a “Palatinate Gin” from the Schäfer winery. Of course I tried it last night and was surprised because I tasted brandy. When I asked whether there was a mistake during the bottling, I was told on the phone that it couldn't be and that the gin tasted special because it was refined with rosemary.I like drinking gin and have tried many different types of gin, but this just isn't gin. The typical taste of juniper is missing and the rosemary cannot be tasted either. I would have appreciated more understanding and customer focus, as I felt a bit handled and labeled as incompetent. Mistakes can happen, but customer service is simply a must, and there is a certain production method and ingredients that are essential for a gin and definitely cannot be tasted here.

We've been going there on holiday for about 10 years now. Our friends have been going there for 30 years now. It is a very nice, down-to-earth family business with great wines. The rooms are not high quality but perfectly adequate and clean. The breakfast is extensive and delicious. After purchasing the wine, there are always at least 2 sample bottles included. The wine tasting in the cellar in the evening has always been on the house. And since the wines are absolutely wholesome, I became a wine drinker with Schäfer wines. The family knows their craft. What we enjoy most is the time spent chatting with Schäfer Senior in the evening while tasting wines of our choice. So, now something about the answer from the dissatisfied users.People work here who sometimes make mistakes. Accommodation has also become a problem for us when booking holidays with travel agencies! The rooms don't have at least 4 stars, but they're completely sufficient. Where can you get an overnight stay with a breakfast like this for little money!I think price performance is absolutely OK.

So to my predecessor about the Palatinate "gin" I have to say, we are repeat offenders, here it is perhaps due to the different taste buds that Weingut Schäfer not only has "very" good gin, but also tasty wine.We come specifically from Baden, umto shop there.Maybe we should think about giving such reviews in such a difficult time!
