Unfortunately, the room in the old building was very disappointing: a pungent musty smell (despite the windows being open), silverfish in the bathroom and room

Unfortunately I can't give a good rating.I felt very uncomfortable in the room because, like in the hotel hallway, it smelled extremely bad. I suspect it's the carpet. Unfortunately, the smell never completely disappeared even when airing and was always omnipresent. Even leaving the window open 24/7 didn't help.Otherwise the room was clean, that couldn't have been the problem, it didn't smell like something spoiled, just like stuff that had been lying in the attic for a long time.This limited my overall quality of stay so much that I don't have to deduct just one point from the rating.I tried another wing of the hotel and there wasn't a problem there, but the rooms here were a different size so I couldn't change.In had a single room and it was quite spartan. No fridge, the bed 2mx90cm!The breakfast buffet was standard, but the a la carte food was very good and the staff was very friendly. Overall two stars for that.

Hotel Seehof in Baltrum - not recommended. Overall, we are disappointed, the price-performance ratio is outrageous and doesn't fit here.The rooms basically have everything you need, including a small refrigerator, which is a plus, with a very small TV, which is more of a minus, but what is problematic is that the rooms were not clean. Even after the first cleaning session after the first day, they still weren't clean. We asked several times for fresh towels, but they didn't smell fresh. The service was not good and the tone among the employees was so unfriendly that it was very unpleasant as a guest to hear this. Breakfast officially runs from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., but from 9:30 a.m. the buffet is no longer refilled and from 9:50 a.m. the buffet begins to be covered. If necessary, you should adjust the breakfast times for guests or leave the time until 10:00 a.m :00 p.m. The Seehof is also unsuitable for people who are not fit to walk; almost all of the rooms can only be reached via high stairs. There is no digital payment option except American Express, which is humorous. In principle, the hotel is dog-friendly, which is why it gets an additional star, but the price for an overnight stay, which does not match the service, is steep.Unfortunately a non-recommendation 👎🏼
