We stayed at LandHotel Weingut Schulze in Sept 2023 for a few days. The hotel is a hidden gem in Freyburg. We found the hotel to be a wonderful place to stay, an easy walk into town. The rooms were good. The staff is friendly. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent. Each meal was a wonderful experience. Best of all was the Wine Tasting with Meal. Each wine was explained to us. Having visited Napa Valley in California, we had high expectations for a wine tasting. The man who presented the wines was very knowledgeable, giving us a wonderful in-depth presentation on each wine. Best of all, he was able to answer all our questions with flair, making the wine tasting an memorable experience. We will plan annual visits.

Rooms are totally outdated, TV didn't work. For breakfast it is advisable to be there very early as nothing is refilled. At the wine tasting, only the cheapest wines were served, and the food was very fried-heavy. The four-course menu the next day was rather bad - to declare a bit of iceberg lettuce with ready-made dressing and four small pieces of fried chicken as a poultry cocktail is a bit bold! Some of the staff were also very unfriendly. Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is not right at all!

We went to the hotel for a wine tasting and couldn't fault the food or service. Landhotel is not a 4-star hotel.Something would have to happen to the rooms, but we discussed this with the staff on site and they showed understanding. Breakfast is a bit scarce but everything is freshly prepared.Thank you for the lovely stay.

We had booked a room through the arrangement. The rooms are very old. Carpeting is stained and the windows were broken. The bathroom is also quite old-fashioned and the toilet lids are already yellowed, which was totally disgusting. The top layer was already coming off.The service was sometimes nice. We had a 4 course meal and a wine tasting included. The menu took forever before the food came. It was very reduced in quantity and tasted more like frozen food than freshly cooked. The wine tasting was quite interesting. Prices are quite high for what you get, because the location alone doesn't justify it. A lot of things could be changed

If you want to go out for a bad meal then this location is one of the top addresses.The dishes are hardly seasoned, vegetables are completely overcooked, the price/performance ratio doesn't match at all and the waitress didn't even bother to ask if it was tasty.The only nice thing was the view of the vineyard.........a shame.

Today we enjoyed the delicious tarte flambée with chanterelles, it was great. Personally, the Federweißer was too sweet for me, not tangy and unfortunately not cold enough.I can't rate the hotel because I didn't stay there. However, the location is good. Parking spaces available.

Nice little country hotel with a great view of the vineyard. We really enjoyed the wine tasting on the first evening. The dinner on the second evening was also very tasty. Many thanks to the nice staff who went to great lengths.
