We ate with a hiking group in the restaurant, outside in a separate area in front of the house with a view of a very beautiful flower garden. The dishes were very tasty and the service was extremely warm. The prices were not overpriced, rather pleasant. It was well attended but there was enough space.

As soon as we entered the parking lot, we noticed that the outside area was very, very sober. Only tables without boundaries with plants or flowers. Not really inviting. Then I dared to park my car in a completely empty yard, parallel to a house wall. After getting out, we were warned in a commanding tone in front of all the guests to park the car straight ahead. We then gratefully drove back from the farm and found a really great restaurant nearby in Löwenstein. Many thanks to the boss of the knight for your behavior. Otherwise we wouldn't have had such a great meal with such a great view in Löwenstein.

The worst thing that has happened to me in many years! We waited for over an hour for the food we ordered, only to be told that part of the order wasn't there and the other part wasn't processed either. Never again!

We had dinner there on Mother's Day, on the terrace in front of the entrance. Onion roast once medium and once well done. Plus spaetzle and salad. All very tasty. The waitress was very nice and served us courteously. The price-performance ratio is still okay here in the country.The toilets were also clean.In any case, we will come back at the next opportunity.

A cheap and very well known Swabian restaurant with some good dishes.The most popular and best here is clearly the roast, especially venison and roast roast. The menu is relatively small, otherwise there is only schnitzel and, depending on the season, a small special menu.Clear recommendation for the game dishes and the roast roast, as well as the spaetzle. Overall tasty and inexpensive.A roast roast for just under 20 euros with a side dish and salad from the buffet is simply good.Although I've eaten much better, these portions are very solid.Where things unfortunately fall off a lot are the other dishes, with the Jägerschnitzel, canned mushrooms, the fries are tiny and not good, and the croquettes are also rather so-so. Overall, you just notice that the prices are not high and that you don't buy better goods. You should be aware of that. I've eaten much better, but you can't expect much more for the price.Unfortunately, the restaurant is very remote, if you don't come directly from the area it's quite far and you also have to drive there.Ambience traditional, very busy when we were there. Is very popular. I would prefer to increase the quality and slightly increase the prices, but as long as the inn has so many guests, that hardly matters.Overall, I still give it just under 4 stars because the 2-3 main dishes of the house are good and also cheap. For everything else, I would like to clearly emphasize that 3 or even just 2 stars are deserved.

We ate there on Easter Sunday.Despite the large number of customers, the service was very friendly and always very attentive. The food tastes great and you can't complain about the prices either. It is a cozy restaurant in which the local village and the residents of the area were guests, especially on Easter Sunday. I can only recommend it.

The time when you drive from Ludwigsburg to Vorderbüchelberg to eat game dishes and then stay overnight to have a beer or a Trollinger is definitely over.The quality of the meat is okay, but the rest... spaetzle, mushrooms, sauce, red cabbage... everything from the can, from the jar, from the packet or from the bag.Our room was run down. The stairwell was not painted. The wires are hanging out somewhere.And the service was already overwhelmed with the few guests.

Went here at the weekend for a lunch stop for dinner. The side salad is relatively small and simple for the price. The main courses are partly finished products (sauces/spätzle)It's fine if you're hungry quickly, but there's still a lot missing for more.The service has btw. also potential for improvement.
