Great get away from the city. Rooms were spacious and clean, staff members were so sweet and friendly. My German isn't so well but they had a few members who spoke English. The food was excellent, sitting out on the terrace was an amazing atmosphere. The nearby town is about 5 min driving...local restaurants and Cafe shops. I highly recommend if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life! One recommendation...you should get cash out before arriving, none of my cards worked at the nearby ATM machines and the hotel doesn't accept credit cards.

Our group ate here twice. Both times we had a variety of well cooked, traditional Schwäbian meals. Good prices, good service, lovely countryside.

I had room no. 6, I do not know if all the rooms are the same... but, my room needed a layer of paint on the walls. The room smelled bad, like an old kitchen. A lot of flies in the room, I don't know where they came from...I killed more than 5.Thursday evening, they turned off the heating, despite the fact that outside were 6°C. Friday morning, 6.30, no hot water to take a shower...Internet works poorly.

We were there for lunch on Saturday lunchtime, everything was a bit old school but that's exactly what makes it so special. But old school does not mean unkempt or unclean! We got a great home-style meal at a very fair price. The potato salad from the salad buffet alone was a dream, the food here is still prepared by hand, something you can't find on every corner anymore. The other food we saw and the desserts all looked good too. The service staff was friendly and quick, we will come back.

Nice in itself, but the vegetable plate was outrageous. 15.20€ for a vegetable plate that consists only of frozen and canned vegetables that are unseasoned or otherwise processed and served warmed up on the plate with two cut potatoes. The mushrooms were inedibly sour, the canned peas, the cauliflower and probably the broccoli were also frozen, the canned corn and the potatoes were gratinated with cheese but definitely not fresh either. There wasn't a salad either; it had to be ordered separately for 5 euros and was the only good thing about my meal. The criticism was not taken to heart and excuses were only sought. After all, the price in the billing was reduced to 8 euros after a complaint. Nevertheless, I can only advise staying away from the vegetable plate

Unfortunately, the positive reviews are incomprehensible, fries were very salty, roast venison was tough, comparable to the sole of a shoe, we spoke to the staff and they waved us off in a friendly manner, salad was actually included in the menu, but we had to pay extra for a salad because we gave our son a few forks from our salad. The employee simply runs away when asked a question...Here you are only asked to pay expensively and the customer doesn't matter here :)You won't see us here anymore
