A country inn that has been known and loved for many years, but unfortunately has to close due to personal use. It's also very sad for the region, especially since the gastronomy scene is already looking poor. Too bad...

Based on the many positive reviews I read, I decided to book this inn. First of all, the positive aspects: The inn is really well maintained, everything is very clean, including the rooms and the laundry. Also positive is that the cheap Poreis includes a rich breakfast. It's also nice that there is a restaurant here, because that's difficult in the surrounding area. Please note that Mondays and Tuesdays are closed days. At €18.50, the quality of the duck with Brussels sprouts and dumplings was a bit high for me at the time. I can't say anything about the other dishes. The host seemed a bit stressed, the climate in the house was somehow cold, but ok for a short trip. Only the mattresses... uff... you need a healthy back. You can bring dogs on request for a fee of €10 per day, which I found to be quite high considering the price of the room. It was good for our weekend trip, it's just a visit.

I just found out through a personal telephone inquiry that the beautiful “Erbkrug” house in Blankensee no longer exists... I've been there several times in the last few years - especially by motorbike - I've eaten excellently and also 2 /stayed overnight 3 times. I don't understand why this good to excellent restaurant (food...😋😋😋!!) is no longer open...🫣😌I'm just sad and at my side and in my thoughts with the wonderfully uncomplicated operating family....Thank you for that years of excellent hospitality and consistent quality…It’s a real shame ☹️….

So at first we had to swallow. The ambience was OK, but when we picked up our luggage. And had read the newspaper article in the entrance. Did we know why it's a shame that a landlord can be so extreme. Because of one two years, the landlord kicked out because of personal use. I'm quitting and will move into the house myself. And will spend his retirement. It's a shame once again for the innkeepers who have been making a living for over 30 years and their regular guests, we have to say we have to close.

How should you really start... the mattress was too soft for me... in the room itself you feel like you've been transported back many years. The bathroom is small but nice… and the price too. The breakfast is okay. Everyone is very friendly and nice. Unfortunately there is a rest day on which finding dinner is a bit of a challenge as there is nothing in the immediate vicinity. Overall okay for one night. You could invest a little here and there, but that probably won't be done because of the closure at the end of 2024.

I had an excellent dinner and loved the little touch that as soon as you had ordered your meal, you were presented with a bowl of fresh salad! What a great idea! The meal was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable and service great! Breakfast with a coffee just the right strength for me and lovely bread rolls and plenty of sweet and savoury toppings available
