Bicycle, tenant and child-unfriendlyCorresponding with the landlord in advance was difficult. Questions were answered half-heartedly or not at all. There was no storage space for the bicycles. You had to leave the apartment by half past nine on the day of departure at the latest, otherwise you would be threatened with a “financial penalty”. Playing ball in front of the house was forbidden.The apartment itself was cozy, clean and well equipped.

Rating ground floor apartment: Nice accommodation with a well-equipped kitchen. You quickly walked or drove to Bad Schandau - if you're on a sporty journey, you can leave the car behind. There is plenty of parking and a balcony which is really nice in the evening sun. You can grill in the garden - there are 2 grills that were practically new.

We had been looking for accommodation for a weekend in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains at short notice and stayed at Haus Herta for two nights at the beginning of September. Both holiday apartments we rented were excellently equipped (none of us had ever seen such well-equipped kitchens in holiday apartments as there were) and were much more comfortably furnished than the pictures on the homepage promised. It was very clean on arrival and the processing in advance was also reliable and uncomplicated. In the morning you can have a leisurely breakfast from the balcony with a view of the Königstein Fortress if the weather is nice and the house overall has a special location on the slope with a great view. It only takes a few minutes by car to reach the center of Bad Schandau, where you can find various shops or tourist points/hiking trails. Definitely a positive discovery and worth recommending! We would come back!
