A great place to stay. A spacious living room and a fully equipped kitchen await guests when they enter. The loving restoration amazed us even on the last day. The accommodation is ideal for friends and families and is located in the middle of Blankenburg. Bakers and a supermarket are in the immediate vicinity. Hikes are also possible as a starting point, as the Devil's Wall begins only a few meters away.

The Old Fire Department is a lovingly restored holiday home in the middle of Blankenburg, a charming town in the Harz Mountains, which is a very good starting point for hikes (Devil's Wall) and city tours (Quedlinburg, Halberstadt). In Blankenburg there are a few restaurants and cafés and also plenty of shopping opportunities; Baroque castle with garden, large castle and Michaelstein monastery are interesting local excursion destinations. The holiday home itself is perfectly equipped, even for larger groups. There are more than enough dishes, glasses, pots and all kitchen accessories. Bed linen and towels from the package we rented were new, very clean and provided in all the necessary versions (sauna, shower and towel, shower mat), the beds were already made. We particularly liked the many loving details: the self-made lamps, the old furniture, the finds in the bathroom furnishings. We made intensive use of the inner courtyard, which was shielded from prying eyes, with a grill and the beautiful sauna. We can only recommend the Old Fire Department without reservation!

Great holiday home for many people, very spacious living room, sauna and nice courtyard. Very lovingly renovated old fire station. Top location in the pretty old town and the sights in Blankenburg are very easy to reach on foot.

There's not much going on in the place. But it's great for hiking and the accommodation is super comfortable! With its own courtyard and cozy, winding rooms.

This holiday home is a domicile that has been prepared down to the last detail. The fire station is only recognizable from the outside, but inside everything is rustic and very cozy.
