The Hirtsteinbaude is in a quiet location and offers a wonderful view over the Ore Mountains. The house is rustic, cozy and lovingly furnished. The host was very accommodating and always concerned about the well-being of the guests. Anyone hiking the Kammweg should definitely stop here.

I ordered the worst food I know here. Stay away from the “hiking bag” in the menu. The mushrooms were totally over salted and the steak was like the sole of a shoe. When I pointed this out, the waitress just shrugged his shoulders. That was the first and last time I "died" there.

I was invited to a birthday party there. The food and service were great. I can only recommend the restaurant. Pre-ordering would be an advantage as it is very well attended.

Not only a worthwhile excursion destination in the winter months with the spectacular bass alt structure also a sensation. New owners have taken over this mountain inn since 2024 and you still feel as comfortable as you did years ago. The menu changes. We have never been disappointed. Definitely worth a visit.

It's great that this mountain restaurant is welcoming guests again. I just don't know whether it's always a good thing to be in the relatively high price segment, which is unfortunately becoming more and more the rule. Of course, I wish the new hosts all the best and lots of fun at the Hirtstein.

Great service. The entire restaurant was well attended, luckily we made a reservation. The menu offers something for everyone and it tastes very good. We were invited for a birthday. It was simply fantastic. In any case, you should make a reservation because the cuisine and service are something special. My wife had the salmon, I had the ox cheeks which were incredibly tasty. We'd love to come back. Keep it up and don't let it get you down. Thank you also for getting along so well with our children and always having answers to questions. Thank you for the great culinary experience

A very nice couple runs this inn and hotel. The rooms are newly renovated and have first-class furnishings. The food and wine are also highly recommended. A visit here is worth it. Very righteous people there. I'd love to come back, thank you very much
