We celebrated our medieval silver wedding anniversary there. It wasvery, very nice of you. The team was super friendly, accommodating and the food (knight's meal) was fantastic.We and our guests really liked the rooms.We also booked a minstrel (Dirk) for the evening. 24_09_10 This Tuesday at 11:50 a.m. we stood in front of the Haynsburg castle tavern, thirsty and hungry.According to the homepage, it is closed on Mondays and open on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is probably always true, except when we are standing in front of the Burgschänke.So we had to leave thirsty, hungry and angry. 😓😬

Accommodation ok. However, there was a board attached to the wall by the bed that you inevitably had to bump into. Otherwise nice and quiet and quaint. Something needs to be improved at breakfast for just under €11 extra: filter coffee, baked rolls (discounter €0.55 a pack), a small bowl of jam, butter, a mixed plate with sausage/cheese and a Sunday egg. Coffee machine was not allowed to be turned on for other drinks. A bit flimsy for the price. It's a shame actually. Such a nice atmosphere.

The food and the associated service in the restaurant were very good. 👍 Thank you very much for this!A small room with a double bed for 2 adults, let's say, very cozy.Theoretically for 2 adults - three sheets of toilet paper - the service failed here!Unfortunately there was no replacement toilet paper roll either.This is saving in the wrong place! Will the hygiene paper help in an emergency?Despite the wonderfully designed room, I wished for a curtain. The floodlights from the castle courtyard kept throwing a bizarre treasure at my room door.Unfortunately my window can't be tilted, only opened. This means that beautifully designed little things fall apart when moved.The guests sitting at the front of the aisle are almost less disruptive, even though the conversations are unmistakable.I would have liked one or two more sockets, but the plug inserts I brought with me helped me a lot. 😉In 2024, a television should also be part of the double room standard here, otherwise the room will be lovingly and playfully designed with “a thousand” accessories on the walls.Certainly all small things, but some of them are, let's say cautiously, unpleasantly annoying for me.Lutz Richter

Super nice staff, I would see some people complaining here about running such a nice facility these days... some reviews here are sent 6 or 7 times to set the mood. Just embarrassing and primitive. I understand that not everything in a castle is like in a luxury hotel, but the lady of the castle and her employees helped us have a fantastic wedding last year, we were and are very satisfied!!! Thank you Kerstin, Gudrun and Co. You are great!!

Were there on June 28th to celebrate my 24th birthday and I can say that everything was great. Food very tasty, service quick and friendly, restaurant very rustic, beds very comfortable.

Went for a short hike in the area and stopped here for a coffee and a few sweets. Very nice service, very tasty food, they even brought out something for the dog. The menu had tasty-sounding game dishes that we will try next time. We were a bit confused because there was no paper map, but if you know you can look at the board that doesn't matter.

Were in the restaurant on March 19, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Unfortunately there were no guests and no staff either. We waited, called and rang the bell but no one was there. There was no one to be found in the kitchen either. Since we didn't want to serve ourselves at the counter, we drove back after 15 minutes. Maybe in the future you should lock the doors and change the opening times if you don't want to receive guests.
