I don't usually write negative reviews. In this case I do. You should arrive well armed against chronic unfriendliness and even personal loans. The operators themselves are extremely unfriendly and even insulting. …

The camping situation by the lake is nice and you have a small space to access the water BUT it’s highly overpriced for a poor quality of service. 50€ per night for a small tent in an overcrowded tent space, dirty and with rocks, with barely any space to park your car. The toilets and showers are rather dirty, and you need to pay an extra for hot shower (we were given 1 hot shower access per person for a 2 night stay). We stayed for a shorter time than planned and went to another camping nearby, cheaper with much better comfort.

Complete joke. Zero room. Water logged pitch. €69 for one night. DO NOT come here. Night club just down the road with pumping bass all night long. it is a complete and utter joke.

I loved it here ❤️ The surroundings are breathtaking. The lake, the mountains, the nature to go walk through. The people working here are so friendly and helpfull. The owners, the men of the restaurant, the sweet lady of the kiosk, everybody. Also the facilities are great. The showers are very good and always clean just like the toilets. Everything is clean and well maintained. You can even rent bikes here. I am grateful to found this place and little bit sad to leave. Thanks Panorama camping ❤️

The worst personal. I should have read the negative reviews as they are all true. The staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and have no human morale. Stay aware from this camp, you have been warned. …

From Lindau to here, we have not encountered such poor serviced camping ground. Last time we've seen "buy coins if you want a warm shower" was in 1995. Tent spots are also on terrain which is more of a gravel road than a camping spot and there are for some reason broken plastic chairs scattered around which looks like a trash depo more than a camp site.

Rather pricey camping, which I could understand if everyone could enjoy 'the panorama'. We on the other hand could place our tent in a much less idyllic corner. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant, except for one grumpy woman at reception. Showers cost €1/5 min. but are good, temperature-wise and pressure-wise. Last remark: comments about pricing here by the owner should not receive these 'you knew the price beforehand' remarks. The price-quality balance is just not right and if I order an expensive glass of wine, I can still be disappointed after I've had a taste.

Stayed for 2 nights on our way to Croatia. Always wanted to stay at the Chiemsee after passing by countless times. Didn't book, just turned up. Wear a mask at reception (???) and self check in on the key pad outside. No cards cash only (at a lot of places in Germany in general which is strange when they insist on masks in certain places but only handle germ ridden dirty money 🤔)! Lovely restaurant with good food and beer. Quite an expensive site €95 for 2 nights, but in a good position and excellent facilities.

The worst personal. I should have read the negative reviews as they are all true. The staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and have no human morale. Stay aware from this camp, you have been warned. We arrive at around 9 pm and i pay 185€ upfront for 1 night. This is for 2 tents, 6 adults 6 children. Because we are late and we are tired, and just want to get the process done with, and the receptionist tells me "you dont need to fill forms with passports if we pay upfront", i just pay her. But as soon as the kids and family get in the camp and see the tent place, that is filled with gravel, no shade, no parking space next to it, no privacy what so ever, we literately in the 5 minutes it took to look around decide to move on. I walk back to the reception and this old man stops me and says "they are closed". I can see the woman receptionist behind the door, through the windows, she is simply ignoring me. Again it took us less than 5 minutes walking into the camp and me walking back to the reception, and the other "HUMAN" standing 2 meters from me behind a THIN part glass door, is acting as if im not existing... not even opening the door to talk to me. The old man yaps on about i will not find anywhere else at this time in the evening, and im like, whats it up to you??! If i find anything or not, i dont want to stay in you bad camp, and ive been here for 5 minutes, can you give me my money back and let me go. Nope. All the staff are sitting in/around the restaurant not caring the bit. It ends with we drove away not staying and paying 185€ for precisely nothing else than the old mans greed. :) The whole ordeal took less than 30 min. Stay away!

Hilariously awful. Don’t bother staying here. For €42 a night you will get a tiny pitch, just big enough to fit a small tent on. The pitch itself will be on rocks and you will be hemmed in between a million other people. The showers and toilets weren’t very clean and you can’t even get hot water without having to get some special coins. Something you will only discover when you go to shower in the evening, and the reception is long closed. It would have been nice to have been told this on arrival but unfortunately the staff of the front desk were cold and unhelpful. The food in the restaurant was quite good, if again, pretty overpriced.Views of the lake are pretty good too but if you don’t have a lakeside pitch (which you won’t as you have to book 2 years in advance) you can only experience it from the 3 meter long shingle beach. We had been told via email that we’d reserved a pitch side lake but when we arrived the staff almost laughed at us when we politely questioned why our pitch wasn’t anywhere near it.Seriously, find somewhere else that’s much better value has nice staff and doesn’t try and rip you off for basics like hot water.
